Hi all, Please help me...I received my 1st NOA on 5/1/09. I have had no updates since then nothing in the mail. Then today O got a letter from The State Department's National Visa center that said. They have recently received an approved I129 F Petition on behalf of my Fiance. It says that the petition will be forwarded to the apprpriate visa issuing post where the visa interview will take place. The NVC letter is dated for Aug 10th. and it is now Aug 30th. I checked with my fiance and she has not received anything in the mail.

My question is:

Is our 129 appoved?

How do I get the 2nd NOA?

What do We do next?

thanks

Call USCIS and explain that you never received the NOA2. They can also verify if you have been approved. If they have approved you and do not have a record of sending out the NOA2, they will need to issue it again. You need this for AOS after marrying. Not sure what they will do if they sent it but you never received it. You may have to submit a form requesting a new one. Also call NVC and ask them when they received your file and when it was sent to the consulate. Give them your WAC number from NOA1 to look up your case. You will need NOA2 eventually, but if the consulate has your file, you should be able to contact them to find out your interview date and what paperwork you will need for the interview. Most likely your NOA2 was lost in the mail or never issued, but the best thing you can do is to contact both offices. If you are receiving a letter from NVC, then more than likely you have been approved by USCIS. Good luck! By the way, it took awhile after receiving the NVC letter for the consulate to send out the interview letter. We had already been in touch with them by email and knew our date, but the letter didn't come for a couple of weeks.

Usually the Guayaquil Consulate sends the beneficiary the package for the interview through reuglar mail. That takes 2 or 3 months to arrive to destiny. Call NVA, find out your case number and go to the Consulate's official web page to find out if the package has been sent. Read the reviews of the Embassy on this forum, it is imperative that you attend the first interview with your SO.

Hope this was helpfull.
