Hi everyone,

I've been following this site for a while now and now that I am going to go through the process, I thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm the USC living in France with my husband and our two boys. We've been married for 7 years and I've been living in France for 11 years. We've decide to return to SoCal and go through the DCF process.

We're planning on going to the Paris embassy in about three weeks to give them our petition and would like to know what time we need to get there (in line) to be sure to we get in (I know they start letting in now at 12:00 pm.) We're coming up from province (PACA) and would not like to miss our chance, on top of that I have to leave my 3 month and 2 1/2 year old for the first time for this trip and I really don't want to have to try this more than once (going to paris).

Bonjour :)

I'm french and married to a USC for the last 2 years, we just made it, i have my visa!

"To file a new petition for an immigrant visa, both the petitioner and the beneficiary must appear at the Embassy on a Friday (prior 12:00 p.m.) to check in. Only a limited number of walk-ins are accepted, so you should appear before to increase your chances of being admitted that day."

It means they only give 15 tickets, that's it. My husband and I arrived a 10h45 and had the 12th ticket, it's always crowded!

You should come at 10h better safe than sorry.

Don't hesitate to ask me any questions, i went through this hellish nightmare and i'm ready to help you in english or french :P
