Starting to get a little worried now. Only 7 people remaining who filed with CSC and haven't yet received approval.

I wouldn't be worried much except that our AOS process took longer than most. From the time we had our interview until approval was ~3 months, presumably because it took that long to complete the background check (or at least, that's what we were told). I'm concerned that the background check may hold us up again...

3 months? Lol, that's not that long. It took me like 6-8 months after the interview to get the green card, but I don't think there is a pattern: my friend took over a year of background check to get his GC, but his I-751 took slightly over a month.

Hey mrc, I think you will be approved by then! I hope so.

In the worst case scenario (I hope not), if they haven't approved you yet, just make sure you update your new address, and keep the people who will live at your current place informed that you are expecting a document/letter from immigration.

But I think by June you will have your approval on hands!

We'll be moving to Colorado in June. Hopefully this is wrapped up before then. I really don't want to go through a transfer then a longer wait.

What transfer and longer wait are you referring too?

Certainly the paperwork doesn't stay with the VSC even though I live in Colorado, which falls under CSC. I'm sure the case is transferred. This usually comes with a extended wait time.

Yes, by looking at the dates, one would assume we'd be approved by then if all goes smoothly. I guess that's the rub.

That it took me 5 months to have oath after the interview is only because i requested for a name change,
this is what delayed my case by months

No, I submitted it to VSC because I live in MS. In June, I will move to Colorado. We've already done Biometrics.
