Oh no! Oh, well..I guess that's alright..lol :P The lady that did my fingeprint and stuff said she don't know what picture will be in the card..It was weird that she didn't know..Anyway, congrats to everybody! :D

Well, I remember seeing in another thread (either May or June I think) that the person got the new GC with the old picture. So, who knows?

VSC, hang in there. The approvals will come. I have my fingers crossed for all of you. Can't wait for the first VSC approval here!

On another note, your kid is really cute!

I agree, the last column is confusing and maybe not needed since once you are approved it is obvious that the new card it's on its way...

On another note.... I don't understand what USCIS is doing. I logged on the USCIS account out of curiosity and saw that they "touched" my application yesterday. But I already received my GC on Monday. What else are they doing?

When I got my GC on the morning of 26, I received an update that afternoon. I thought they would say: :whistle:

"Due to computer glitch, we would like to inform you that the approval that you received was a mistake. Kindly return the greencard upon receiving it and will make you wait when it's really to approve your case. Sorry for the inconvenience and excitement we have caused you. Oh well... "

:lol::luv::lol:

My touch was just to say they sent me a notice that they approved my case... thought it was pretty late for that.

If it were me I would kill the early biometric info and put in the actual date the biometrics was done in the column

What a coincidence! I was thinking the same thing. As a matter of fact, I was telling my husband that last week there were approvals here and there and then this week, there's none. Husband said it's probably because last week, CSC people were in the mood to work on cases then after approving some, announced "Ok, that's it... let's take a week break". :whistle:

Saw this post today. We mailed my wife's I-751 on September 5 just before we went on vacation for two weeks. The NOA and appointment for biometrics came while we were on vacation. It was dated September 16. Biometrics appointment was for October 13. USCIS sent an email on October 26 with approval and said card was in production. The actual notice arrived in the mail on October 29. It took 8 days to get green card after the approval date the first time. We'll see how long it takes this time. Not too concerned though as the old card doesn't expire until 12-4-09.

By the way, the CTRL - works pretty good for seeing the tables.

10-17-2006. I-129F filed.

10-19-2006. NOA1

01-25-2007. NOA2

02-12-2007. NVC notification saying petition is approved.

05-11-2007. Packet 3 received.

05-14-2007. Packet 3 forms sent.

06-16-2007. Packet 4 received.

Hi All,

Went to the NJ ASC on 10/29. I didn't want to risk going early and getting denied because I thought it would be a PITA. It turns out there was plenty of room and no backup on the date we went. If any people are doing the Elizabeth, NJ ASC location I'd recommend giving it a go to come early. The people were really friendly and one person came in and asked to get their biometrics done early. However, they came with a friend that flashed some sort of badge and asked if it was ok. Probably some cop or gov't worker friend. The guard/receptionist said it was ok since there weren't that many people.

It took us about 40 min or so for the entire thing. We spent about 10 min filling out a form and then went to another waiting area where they called the number for fingerprinting. We waited about another 20 min before my wife got called up. There were about 4 or 5 people doing the biometrics so the queue was moving at a fairly good pace.

The folks there were really nice. I don't recall gov't offices to be so accomodating in such a long time. We actually had a pleasant experience.
