I have a question. I received the NOA on 28 September...which is about two weeks ago. I still cannot add the case through the USCIS login page and when I called and entered in my receipt number, it told me that my case cannot be found.

What gives? Does this take a few weeks before I can check the status? Everything is entered in correctly as noted on my NOA.

the number in the NOA is not the number that you will use to track your application in the internet. A different number comes in the biometric letter and with that one you can check your status.

if you read carefully your NOA it says to wait until the biometric letter.

My bio appt letter arrived today, the schedule date is 10/24 in Santa Rosa, CA (about 1hr15min from here). However, I will be in Chicago between 10/22 to 10/26. I will try going for an earlier bio starting late next week, and I will bring a copy of my itinerary/ticket so they can understand and hopefully approve my request.

Wow... that's frustrating... it's been two weeks and still no NOA1... How long do you guys think I should wait before I freak out... hhmmm... I mean before I should call them up?!

I want to go to Europe for Christmas and need to buy my tickets soon, but I can't without that letter...

Any advise?!

A new week is here! Wishing all good luck on applications, NOAs (a special good luck for David-n-Mae), bio appointments.... I guess still early for approval, but wishing good luck on that front as well!

Thank you, sis! You have been so good in rooting for me. So I got a good news for you...

I FINALLY received the Biometrics appointment -- better than getting the NOA!!! I called the USCIS CS and asked if I can go to our local field office and get an extension stamped on my passport and she said I could. According to the Infopass, I should go to Kansas City - but my Bio appointment is in St. Louis.

So my question is, I was wondering if they'll allow me to have an early Bio there if ever I would go to KC for the extension? Anybody???

Thank God, I finally heard from them. I was so stressed out and ready to make my call this week. At least now I know that my application was not sitting in the mailing room under hundeds of applications. I am sooooo happy!!! :dance::dance::dance:

Thank you all for putting up with my whining and complaining... It seemed like it helped too that I b!tched about it every single day. :blush::blush::blush:

P.S. It seems like if ever they sent me a NOA and just lost it in the mail, it would have been dated 09/09 since according to the CS, that's the date that they entered my application into the system.

I think you replied to an older timeline/time list. If you send me your bio appt letter date I can update you.

You need to reply to the newest timeline.

Hi Sandy cheeks,

I think you will be fine before Christmas. In the worst case scenario (if your NOA doesn't come) you make an info pass and get the stamp on your passport. Read the posts from David-and-Mae, she never got ther NOA but she did ended up getting her bio appt letter.
