I've seen that other people's checks were cashed pretty fast. CSC received my package last Friday and still haven't cashed my check.... :unsure: We are making sure there are enough funds in the account and I never thought I would be hoping for a check to be cashed fast.

Ohhh... and should I say I got addicted to this site? Not good...

Ours was cashed pretty fast too... Include me in the list of addicted to the site ;)

Nope... I didn't have the NOA, yet. :crying::crying::crying:

Well, the week is almost ending and my hopes are getting smaller and smaller. I checked - double, triple, etc. - my filled out I-751 thinking maybe I typed our address wrong or the Alien # but everything's correct so there shouldn't be any typographic error on my part. That is why it baffles me why my NOA never came while others who filed the same time I did even got their Bio appt. :crying: 10 more days and I will be calling the customer service again. Hopefully they can shed a little light on what's going on with my application.

P.S. The mailman came late today. He usually comes around 10:30am or 10:45. Today, he came in almost 12:00 noon when my patience was wearing thin. :blush:

Who knows... maybe you will get the Bio appointment? I saw other cases that the NOA didn't come but they received the Bio appointment. If you do receive the bio appt before the remaining 10 days, I would call customer service. At least you know your application was received, cash checked (which is a good sign I think).

In my case, the fact they haven't cashed the check makes me wonder if I will be receiving my application back (I hope not!). I looked at the copy of the check and it is addressed correctly and signed. I don't really know anything wrong in my application for them to not accept it :-( Cash that check, cash that check, cash that check CSC!

Who knows... maybe you will get the Bio appointment? I saw other cases that the NOA didn't come but they received the Bio appointment. If you do receive the bio appt before the remaining 10 days, I would call customer service. At least you know your application was received, cash checked (which is a good sign I think).

We should blame USCIS for our OCDs and paranoias... :whistle: Without hearing from them, it makes us wonder whether we did something wrong with our papers, when in fact, we did good. And they also forced us to keep on checking the mailbox, the online banking and go through the list and compare our timeline to others. :wacko:

I was expecting it .. didn't think they would give me such little notice though!! I live in Louisiana and they only have one centre - New Orelans .. well, NO is 6 hours away so I was expecting either Dallas or Jackson and they sent me to Jackson. I'm was kind of hoping they would because I haven't been to Mississippi before so I get to go somewhere new!!

Oh my God, 200 miles away??? Sorry to hear that. But is there any other place closer to where you live that people get biometrics done? Do you think your location was set by mistake?

I was expecting it .. didn't think they would give me such little notice though!! I live in Louisiana and they only have one centre - New Orelans .. well, NO is 6 hours away so I was expecting either Dallas or Jackson and they sent me to Jackson. I'm was kind of hoping they would because I haven't been to Mississippi before so I get to go somewhere new!!

Mmmh... less than 2 weeks notice... is this normal? I am going insane now thinking that our Biometrics may come while we are gone looking at the timelines. My husband returns one week before me, so maybe he can reschedule the appointment, although I would hate to delay this more than necessary...

You are right David-and-Mae, USCIS controls our lives now...

it looks like that i do have the same situation here, they have cashed my check, and i could see the USCIS stamp on the back of the check. which means they have looked at my poor skinny applicatins. i haven't sent much of documents because i was rushed and actually we dont have too many evidences to prove our residency.

We finally filed yesterday (9/23/09) and confirmed USPS Express Mail delivery today (9/24/09). I hope everything goes smoothly. :)

02/17/2007 - I-130 Express Mailed to VSC via USPS. (ETA 2/19/2007)

02/22/2007 - I-130 received by VSC.

06/12/2007 - NOA2 approval email received!!!

06/15/2007 - NOA2 letter received in the mail.

06/19/2007 - NVC receives case and assigns a case number!

08/27/2007 - CASE COMPLETE!!!!

09/06/2007 - Case forwarded to Sydney

09/14/2007 - Wife receives Packet 3. Received NVC letter confirming case forward to Sydney.

10/26/2007 - Interview - VISA GRANTED!!!!! WOOO WOOO!!!!!!

11/18/2007 - Enter the US via LAX (POE). No issues thankfully. 20 minutes of processing.

11/30/2007 - Welcome letter (two of them) received.

09/23/2009 - Express Mailed Removal of Conditions application

09/24/2009 - USPS confirmed delivery to VSC

09/29/2009 - Check cashed by USCIS

10/01/2009 - Received NOA I-797C dated 09/25/2009

10/10/2009 - Received Biometric appt letter for 10/29/2009

10/29/2009 - Biometrics taken. Whole process took about 40 min including the wait

12/22/2009 - Approved for ROC!

01/08/2010 - Received text and email: Card production ordered

01/15/2010 - Received Green Card in the mail!

USCIS - N-400

04/22/2011 - Express Mailed Application for Naturalization

04/27/2011 - Check cashed by USCIS

04/28/2011 - Received NOA I-797C dated 04/26/2011

05/27/2011 - Biometrics taken. Process took approx 35 min with wait

07/29/2011 - Received Interview Appt letter scheduled for 09/01/2011 dated 07/26/2011

09/01/2011 - Interview and Oath. Now a USC! The VJ is over!
