To all VJ's member who is reading this post now, please wish me luck and I pass my interview on Tuesday (Sept 1st).

Firstly, I am so grateful I found this site with all the members who are so helpful. I would like to share you a brief of my journey. I met my husband online around March 2008 and we got married on Feb 2009. We got married on our first meeting. Then because of his job as US Army, he did not have much time to spend here with me neither he had time for a leave. Before I started to file for CR-1 visa I did not know about VJ. I wish I had known this before we started filing and I could know the tips and experiences from members who are having emergency situation as mine. I called it emergency cause after my husband went back to the US, we only have less than 6 months before his deployment to Iraq for a year. But still I was lucky to eventually find this site and then found some members who are spouses of the military members. But as we all know, there will always be a bump (or fews or even many..) on the road to get to the end. So, even some said that if we have our case expedited at NVC stage, but if the USEM said that they still want all the papers to be completed before the NVC forward it to them, it will not make any big difference, just a little fast on the shipping date i guess.

After restless night of thinking, worrying, and making calls to NVC, DOS, USEM.... (i bet you all know how it feels) so I got my interview date for Sept 1st, though my husband is going to deploy on or about Sept 8th. Now I can only leave it all up to God and just hope that I can get my visa soon after I pass the interview (cause usually USEM in Jakarta issues the visa after 3 work days). The thing is if I do not get my visa at least within 2 days after the interview, it means I will get it on Monday (Sept 7th) so even I take the flight to Hawaii after that day I got my visa, I do not know whether I will be able to kiss and hug my husband before he deploys to Iraq. So, that is all I need to share with you guys. Hope Allah SWT will hear my prayers, my husband's, and even any thoughts and empathies from you all that I will be able to meet my husband even for only 2-3 days before he deploys.

Thank you and good luck for all of you on your journey.

The wait would be unbearable but it'll be worth it. It strengthens the love, it attaches you even more to each other, it shows how your man would do whatever it takes to be with you, that he will never give up on you because he LOVES you!! All the waits, stresses, tears, heartaches, all the miserable feelings you feel along the way will be paid off once you get what you've been hoping for...oh and WITHOUT PRAYERS? will be like trying to start a fire with water, JUST WON'T WORK!
