I am 37 female.

My first real relationship started when I was 24 and he was 23 years older than me,he was 47 at the time.We stayed together(lived together and worked together and had a very good relationship) for 5 years. My parents and the rest of the family didn`t have anything against that(not that it would have changed things much if they had been against it).

When I was 29 I started a good relationship with a man 8 years younger than me,we lived together for other five years(it seemed that my relationships were meant to last for 5 years :( . My family didn`t agree with me being with a younger man.

My USC ex fiance, who I met at the end of 2003 was 41 when we met,I was 34. It was an intense, tough ,bitter and sweet long distance relationship.I am still trying to deal with it.

I'm 34, my fiance is 31.

If I were single I would consider from about 25-38. I'd have a hard time relating to anyone too young or too old.

I'm 25 (will be 26 in 6 days!! )

If i were single.. i'd consider a guy that is more mature than me.. so mostly - older than me.. but 12 years older should be enough.. may be if i'm older then gap would be less ;) but never consider dating younger man.. may be if i'm older too.. (only if "Single"!!)

My hubby is 26 but he's very very!! mature :luv:

I only ever dated guys about 5 years older than me until I met Rey. I was not initially comfortable with the idea that he is younger than me, although it's only by a year and three months! But that can make a difference in the early 20s... for better or for worse, he's been through a lot and I often feel younger than him

I'm 35 and my OH is coming up to 60 this month. I certainly wouldn't have been interested in dating a person who was 25 years older than me when I was 20, but now it doesn't really make much difference to me at all. I'm much more interested in the individual and their merits, not when their birth year is. Most people are surprised because we're not the stereotypical large age difference couple ie. him being stinking rich (I wish ;) ), and me being a barbie doll. We met in 1998 so have lasted the course of many relationships and marriages so far. I think people who have a problem with our age difference is exactly that - their problem...certainly not ours

I'm 57. My husband is 20 years younger.

He proposed every day for the last 13 years. My response was the same as Cher in Moonstruck when she smacked Nicholas Cage and said: Snap out of it!

Then my mother died and I realized how short life is. That's when I snapped out of it and said yes.

I am 25 (hubby is 4 years older).

If I wasn't married and was to consider ages...Maybe the range would 2 years younger to 6 years older. Awhile ago(before meeting Sujeet) I had decided I didn't even want to like someone who didn't have their life together. I wanted someone who already had a stable job, not still trying to figure out what to do with their life.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

I would have said no more than five years younger to about 5 years older... I'm 35 and Dh is 42 so he's 7 years older than me. The older you get the less an age difference matters, until you get to be elderly (at which point it must really and truly suck to have to be seperated from your partner if they have to go into a nursing home and you don't!)

I am 46, and my fiance is 32. I have never dated anyone younger than me before. I really dont feel 46, when I am with my daughters people think they are my sisters  I love it when I am out with my 2 year old granddaughter and people think she is mine. Hachemi is very intelligent and mature beyond his years. So we kind of meet in the middle. I was worried about the age difference at first, but not now.

I am a 51 year old woman; my husband is 10 years older.

I once dated a man for about half a year who was 13 years younger than me and had a 9 year relationship with a man 5 years my junior. I think my comfort zone would be from 5 years younger to 10 years older. As I have got older age has become less and less relevant.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
