I just connected Outlook with my yahoo account. Worked like a charm.

Now all emails in yahoo are gone. But I would like to have my emails in my yahoo as well, for when I am not at home.

I did a quick google search but it didn't solve the problem.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance

Depending on which version of Outlook you're using - the menus may vary - what you're looking for is your POP3 email account and you'll want to change settings .

You're looking for

Leave a copy of messages on the server (probably unchecked, so you'd need to check it).

To find out exactly how - use the help/search feature of Outlook and type in Leave a copy of messages on the server.

Best I could do...

Thanks Otto :)

I found what you mentioned in the account settings and ticked that box. Unfortunately the emails did not cme back, but I hope the news ones will at least be saved. *sigh*

No problem - oh, forgot to mention - the already downloaded emails will not go back to the yahoo server (once they're gone, they're gone) . Subsequent emails will remain though.

That is really unfortunate. And I don't even want Outlook, yahoo is such a great free email provider and the new layout is just as good as outlook. I was just playing around with it.

Are you getting POP3 forwarding for free? (I thought yahoo charged for that - as a mail-premium...)

Yes, it's free. Linking it was super easy as well, Outlook 2007 did it all for me.

I go back in my corner now to cry about the lost emails.
