Hello,

Yesterday I received my interview appointment letter, for Januray 15th. On the list they give you of stuff to bring to the interview, they say to bring the I-693 if you haven't already submitted it. The thing is that I never sent them that, and they never asked for it with a RFE, I guess because I gave them the medical examination and vaccination info in a closed envelope when I entered the country.

Does anybody know if I need to bring that or not? Any ideas?

If it's been less than a year since that medical exam, then no, you've already submitted it. However, you do still need to have parts of the I-693 filled out by a civil surgeon. Here's the info you need.

Taken from the AOS guide:

[/size]

I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. If you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. Regardless of if you are exempt from a medical exam, you are still required to complete certain portions of the I-693 and have a Civil Surgeon certify the form (and seal it in an evelope). Specifically, you will complete Part 1 (Information about you) of the I-693 and provide both the form and your DS-3025 (if you have it, proving your vaccination history) and any proof of required vaccinations that were completed prior to entering the US. If you do not have a copy of your DS-3025 you will need to provide sufficient evidence of your vaccination history to the Civil Surgeon (talk to the civil surgeon's office to discuss what vaccination records they accept as proof). If you do not have proof of your vaccination history the Civil Surgeon may insist on re-administering all the required vaccinations prior to completing the I-693. Once the Civil Surgeon has has verified that all required vaccinations have been performed, they will complete form I-693 Part 2 (the vaccination section) and Part 5 (the Civil Surgeon's Certification). They will then seal the form in an envelope and return it to you.

Hi All, I am preparing for the interview next week Our rental lease was not signed but had our names on it...any advice?

Can you contact your landlord and have them sign it real quick? That would be my first option, and if I couldn't get a hold of the landlord in time for them to do it, I myself would just sign it. They very well may glance at it at the interview, but they're not gonna call the landlord to verify the signature is legit. I don't normally advise forging signatures and all, but I can't say I wouldn't on a similar thing myself.

Good luck, you guys will do fine, does any sept filers that went through interview willing to share the exp and questions that were asked... my husband and i will have the interview in January. Thanks

It was the easiest part of the whole process to be honest. They asked a few questions like name, address, etc to verify we were who we said we were. Asked my husband if he had any kids or ever been married before. Asked if he had any criminal history, ever been arrested for drugs, etc., all those questions that you checked no to on the forms you submitted. He glanced at our proof of marriage stuff and went out in the hall to copy the pile. Asked us a quick question about how we met but didn't want any details or elaboration (he cut me off after I said we met through the internet several years ago, lol). Didn't want to see our pictures :( After less than 10 minutes from walking into the office, of which 6-7 minutes of that time was him not speaking but filling out his forms and shuffling papers, he said we were approved and explained the removing conditions stuff. We were in and out in less than 15 total. Piece of cake.

Hello guys sorry i haven't been there lately it has been a tuff , i mean one of my fury babies got lost and OMG i was depressed and all day looking for him , GOd gave him back to us so now it's here thankfully but anyways about anu updates NOTHING NOTHING NO interview appoitment , no touches , no notification of transfer nothing .

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Sounds like you're in the same boat that Freyja is in. I feel bad for you guys :( Unfortunately, I have no idea what to suggest. It seems to just be one big waiting game. Until you're out of the normal processing time frame, I don't think there's much else that you can do. Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!

I know the feeling...... I at least know I have been transferred to CSC... But that was 72 days ago... And average among Sep filers between transfer and AOS approval is 47 days... Haven't had any touches since Oct. You can try calling USCIS. I did but unfortunately didn't help. They just told me to continue waiting... Hoping we both hear something soon! The worst is the waiting and no touches...

For those who have already received the green card in the mail, where does it get produced / mailed from? Is it the NBC @ Lee's Summit, Missouri? It's been a week since I got the first "card production ordered" status update, but nothing in the mail. (I received my welcome letter 3 days after my AOS interview.) I'm hoping to travel internationally next week and getting a little worried that it won't be here in time. (My local office did not want to stamp my passport to allow travel, unless it was family emergency.)

I received my GC in the mail today & yes it comes from Missouri. My interview was on 7th Dec so it's taken exactly 1 week.

I'm sure you'll receive yours soon. :star:
