I am sorry to hear about the RFE! I have been reading a lot about RFE's for I-693 lately, I wonder why.... Anyways, since you are planning on doing the medical again, I guess getting the congressperson involved is not necessary. It seems to be quite the norm that USCIS losing the files of applicants and all...

I had my full medical done here in Charlotte and it took a week simply because I had to wait for the X-ray from the Health Department (that alone took 3 days). If you don't need to do the X-ray again and TB Skin Test, then it takes only 1-2 days for them to complete the bloodwork test and paperwork.

Thanks for the concern everyone.. trying to hold the nerves together.

I made an infopass for monday that I can hopefully make, and plan to ask what exactly is lost and needed, and if they could extend it because of the delays of the holiday season.

I'm also going to book an appointment on monday for the full medical for hopefully around 12th-14th dec, and also contact congressperson to set them on it, london doctors and london embassy to see what we can do.

I figure that there has been many people taking different approaches, I may aswell take all of them.

2. Yes, she can change her name now. No worries. If at any stage they need proof, you have the marriage certificate to show them! So, yeah!!

1. My wife is USC and her driver's license got her old apartment address on it, Does she need to get a new license before our interview since we are leaving in a new apartment...

2. She hasnt changed her name before we filled, can she change her name on the new driver's license..

Please advice!!

The name change does not affect her since she is the USC so she can change her name anytime..... Cheers..

I just checked timeline for I-485 at CSC at the USCIS website and it's 4 months. It's only been 3 months so I am waiting another month and then I guess I will be calling them non-stop. I just hope they haven't lost my case or something. I guess it's not likely but...it hasn't been touched for so long and everyone else has gotten their approvals so much quicker. We've had no RFEs and I thought our case was really straight forward... :(

Already have an appointment booked for next monday which is the soonest they have. The receptionist said it could cost up to $450 although she has never seen anyone's that high before, and results take typically 2-3 days.

Great news that you're able to do the medical so soon and that the results will be fast! But I can't believe they need a new full medical!!?? You came on a K-1 Visa... That implies you've done the medical in the UK, right? Fingers crossed you'll be able to send it to CSC on time and that it won't cost $450!
