Did you get an email update or a snail mail stating that your case is transferred back to local USCIS? Normally, if your case is transferred to the local office, you will get a snail mail notifying you. I got a snail mail saying my case was transferred to CSC and a couple of weeks later I got a email update that my case is transferred to a USCIS office but didn't say exactly where. So, what happened was, the update was just saying that my case is transferred to a USCIS office, meaning CSC.

Hope that helps and all the best!!

Cheers...

Well my case was transferred to CSC and then later "transferred to local USCIS office" so I'm not sure if they'll require an interview now. It's the not knowing that is irritating. I really want the green card by Christmas so that we can start the new year without all of these immigration issues (and no touches since October 22), but hey - don't we all!

Congrats to those with approvals, and good luck to everyone still waiting. :)

I don't think we got the snail mail... we did for the CSC transfer but not the local office, like yourself. I think. I dunno, they sent us so many notices a couple of months ago that I don't remember. I guess I'll find out pretty soon. :P Congrats on your green card!

Oh no! If you tell them it's an emergency and immigration requires you to submit it by Dec 30, hopefully the DR will understand and somehow be able to schedule you for an appointment. I didn't send I-693 either. Seems quite a lot of people didn't and still got their GC approved. It is really weird how USCIS works sometimes. I really hope you'll be able to make an appointment and send it to CSC on time!!!

No news here. Still waiting for them to find the time to look at my case... :(

From the RFE's wording, it makes it seem like they (also) lost the copy of DS-3025 I sent them. In most cases, this form is enough. Hopefully I will be able to make an infopass for Charlotte monday morning and convince wife to drive me there. Nothing is open on the weekend, hate being a sitting duck.

Also thinking about contacting London Embassy and seeing if they can get a copy to me (or CSC) in a sealed envelope of my medical I took there.

Yes, London Embassy should have it on file after your K-1 interview? Can't believe CSC seems to have lost it. But have read about cases here on VJ when USCIS lost documents or has them but not aware of it.. Fingers crossed it will all work out soon!

Yuck, I'm sorry to hear they might have lost your DS-3025.

It really irritates me when I see that people try so hard to get everything so perfect in fear of having a RFE or denial, and then USCIS loses documents. I agree that you should try contacting London and asking them to send a copy over. Only thing is, December is the busiest month of the year for snail mail because of Christmas.. is there any way you're able to extend the time needed to send back the document and also book an appointment for a new 693??

Thanks for the concern everyone.. trying to hold the nerves together.

I made an infopass for monday that I can hopefully make, and plan to ask what exactly is lost and needed, and if they could extend it because of the delays of the holiday season.

I'm also going to book an appointment on monday for the full medical for hopefully around 12th-14th dec, and also contact congressperson to set them on it, london doctors and london embassy to see what we can do.

I figure that there has been many people taking different approaches, I may aswell take all of them.

Thank you!got my gc card today from the mail. I had the envelope already and handed it to my husband thinking it's from the insurance company. The letter was moved upwards so my husbnd's name is the one visible.hehe he opened it while I was in the room and shouted congratulations to the new permanent resident! I thought he was just messing! it's our third month as married couple! thank you Lord for the gift!

No USCIS till after2 years...

But wait... I have a question, my middle name on the gc lacks one letter (my name is pretty long) but on the other documents, it is completelike that on my ead. Is it ok if I lack one letter at the far end of the middle name? I'm thinking it lacked space ... Just a lil worried though...
