Keep the faith laura819.. I'm in the same situation as you. No touch since 10/22, but there's someone here who wasn't touched since 10/19 but got approved on 11/19.

Same here, no touches since 10/22 and biometrics was over 5 weeks ago.

68 days from NOA.

Let's hope we all hear something soon. :)

Our timelines are coming close Gemmie, because I had an RFE that accounts for the difference in filing date as it set me back about 2 weeks. My Bios were 10/13 so 4 days before yours. Hoping for atleast a touch this week, but by past trends.. if we haven't been touched in a while the next touch should be approval. Let's hope, big time!

Nothing here either. No emails, touches, nothing...

Freyja, Martin and Raven: I think that the USCIS webpage is not in synch with the offices handling each case. My case has not been touched since Oct 28th, no updates whatsoever... Furthermore, still shows they received our response to the RFE on Oct 16th and on the I-130 shows that our application is still on initial review on Sept 11th (despite that we already have an interview date)... On the I-765 they mailed a letter of approval for the EAD (I haven't received such letter yet, but I received my EAD)... Confusing, right? I guess that's how they operate, as they still have a long way to go improving the services offered online and the real McCoy that goes on in their offices.

Your Current Case Status for Form I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Request for Evidence On October 16, 2009, we received your response to our request for evidence. This case is being processed at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location

Your Current Case Status for Form I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Initial Review

On September 11, 2009, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case.

A friend of mine told me that everytime they did something on his case, the same day he received an email and the change of data was posted in his case status (lucky him). I've read about how some people don't even get updates. In our case, we registered for updates but only received one. Even when I try to log into my account the system does not recognise my password and when validating the account again the system is not available.

I think of it as another way of going crazy so I don't rely on it (or think about it much). Nowadays the mailman is one of my favourite people in the whole wide world :star: and Patience is a close relative that I have to learn to live with (like it or not)

Good luck to all and I hope that you'll get update letters regarding your cases before this week is over.

I'd say leave it a week to be sure, but some people have gone the next day and have had success. I waited a week from recieving the card in the mail to go, and I was in the SAVE system.

I know what you mean. I had to go and try to get one in order to get marriage license, so it was less than a week after entry. I wasn't in SAVE and 12 weeks later they refused to give me one because K-1 was too close to expiration. :( But I have one now.. all is good!

Social security cards !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's this mean , 'Safe" in the system ??

We went to the SS office and they wanted her birth cert. to translate .

They wouldn't do anything until it is translated .

We have to wait for this translation of her bit=rth cert. before they issue a SSC .

Anyone experience this ?

You can get a sworn translator to translate the birth certificate. It looks like each state treat different for ssn service. Here, before they asked, I showed my passport, ead card and marriage license. They said it 'perfect'.

When I applied for my SSC, the clerk did not ask for my birth certificate though I had it with me. I only handed them my passport and my marriage certificate.
