Approved!!! Interview was completely painless. The officer person mainly just confirmed a few things like name, address, that my husband has no biological kids and hasn't been arrested and no plans to become a terrorist  Took about 10 minutes altogether. He actually approved us and then was like, "Oh yeah, do you have anything together like bank accounts?" to which I handed him the packet I brought with us. We spent an hour last night at Kinko's making copies of pictures (and dealing with incompetent employees that can't fix their own machines :bonk: ) only to have him wave them away when I tried to show him them. That's the part I was looking forward to! I think it helped matters that my 4 year old pretty much wanted nothing to do with me and lounged all over "daddy" the entire interview  So, we're done with the craziness for 2 years, woot!!

Good luck to the rest of you, hope everyone else has speedy approvals!

That's awesome! Congratz!

Need Greencard soon because the college I'm thinking of applying at need to see greencard before I qualify for "in-state" tuition fees.

But yeah, a break from USCIS would be great.

Are you sure they won't need a 6 month residency? I heard that colleges usually want that (sometimes a year) in order to qualify. But I'm sure you've already talked to them. :)

Congrats MPF!

They might.. not thinking of applying til atleast fall classes and then maybe fall of 2011. Been up and talked to them last year and they seemed pretty clued up on our situation, even the K-1.

I guess it depends, here in my place, I only need 30-days residency to qualify. And yep, green card is needed.
