From what I have been observing, applicants from California usually will receive an interview. Somehow I think applicants who live in certain states will get an interview. I may be wrong but that's just my observation. :star:

Cheers...

Agree. Maybe some states have more resources and are able to interview more while others don't. However seems only those entering on K1 get transfers. From what I have seen, those on B2, H1B, J1 etc all have to have interview.

So is it mostly likely that F-1s get interviews?? Is anyone here a F-1 aos filer??

08/26/09 – USCIS received the packet (I-485, I-130, I-765)

08/31/09 – Received Notice receipt for (I-130, I-765)

09/04/09 – submitted AR-11 (Change of Address form)

09/18/09 – Touch for I – 130

09/26/09 – received a letter for biometric test for Oct 20th in Jacksonville.

10/20/09 – Biometrics done in Jacksonville, FL for (I-485, I-765)

10/21/09 – Touch for I-485 & I-765

11/02/09 - email from USCIS saying "document mailed to applicant"

11/02/09 - I-485 status changed to "document production or oath ceremony"

11/06/09 - receive I-485 Receipt Notice

11/10/09 - EAD card production email (#1)

11/16/09 - EAD card production email (#2)

11/19/09 - received EAD card :)

Hi! I'm doing good, been hanging out here maybe, until I find job and get my driver's license. It's getting end of year, it's hard to find job, esp when I can't drive yet.

Anyway, I am spending time studying, going to church and taking care of my husband.

Those of you who walked in to a SS office for a number , did you receive a number that day ??

Or do they send it to you via mail ??

Ross

I hate to say this, but it took exactly 3 weeks (to the day) for my wife to get her SSN and card. Maybe her situation was different because she received it on a J1. Once we were married we went to the office again and ordered a new card to show the name change.

That one took about 5 days.

Thank you We Got 2.congrats for getting your interview sched in the mail.i wish u good luck .I already figured it out what was the notice that was returned to the USCIS office,it was the original biometric letters(I-765 and I-485) for my son.since we requested a transfer, the USCIS Boise ID sent us the photocopies of our new bio sched, those were the ones that we showed when we did the walk-in,however,USCIS MO sent me my original biometric appointment letter but i didnt get my son's,i dont understand why the mailman stopped putting my son's letters in our mailbox when he used to do that before, that's why when i talked to him,he acted guilty and told me to wait so he could look at the other mails in his box and found it right away

Thanks for your wishes ManilaIdaho!

Thanks God that you thought of asking him and got that letter right away! I'm also praying for you, so you could get your interview letter before November ends, you'll see that it will happen!:star:

yeah,I'm glad i asked him,and last saturday when i checked our mailbox,i found out that he wrote my last name wrong,so what i did,i wrote all our full names(son, husband and mine) in the mail box to be sure that he'll put all our mails there ;)

Interview is tomorrow morning--I feel all panicky!! I keep telling myself we have nothing to worry about, but after all we've been through to be together, the thought that we could be denied is scary! I wish I could just fast forward through the next 15 hours!!

Good luck for tomorrow myperfectflaw
