Sorry to hear about your RFE! I thought they'd issue those right in the beginning and not this late, after receiving EAD! I hope you find out what it is soon and can send in the docs they want.

RFEs suck... I had one about a ton of financial stuff before transfr to CSC. Other news.. applied for SSN today (week after recieving EAD in mail) and I was in SAVE this time. :D

Once you got the rfe letter, send the rfe right away so USCIS can process it as soon as they get your rfe.

NCWife Don't worry, even though RFE's are a pest (I've had 3 already :( it means the case is being look after and is not on a shelf collecting dust ... You'll see that sooner than you think this matter will be resolved. Best of luck! :thumbs:

Jeff&Madz I honestly think that the system on the USCIS webpage needs LOTS of improvement... My EAD card was on production (according to the update done online) on Oct 21, then on Oct 28 another update read "On Oct 28 we mailed you a notice of approval on this I-765 and EAD card, Production has been ordered etc etc". :blink: Was my card mailed and received by my before they were able to approve it? Who knows! But at least the case is moving even though I have no update at all on my my I-130 since they got it on Sept 11th. I've decided that the best thing is to forget about it and not to check online on an everyday basis like I was doing... Cannot afford to keep on loosing hair, sanity and sleep over this :D

USCIS rescheduled my original AOS interview. Last Saturday, I received a letter informing me that my interview was canceled and that I would be notified of a new appointment. Yesterday, I received another interview notice for a date a week later than my original interview date.

Thought I would share this so that others who receive a similar cancelation notice do not stress. Apparently, this occurs sometimes due to scheduling issues, especially around the holiday season.

AOS Timeline (Local Office: Columbus, OH)

09/17/2009: Mailed I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131

09/21/2009: Received at Chicago Lockbox

09/28/2009: NoAs issued

09/28/2009: Checks cashed

10/02/2009: NoAs received in mail

10/05/2009: Biometrics letter received (Appointment: 10/28/2009)

10/06/2009: Biometrics completed (Walk-in at Columbus ASC)

10/29/2009: Interview letter received (Appointment: 12/01/2009)

10/29/2009: AP approved; EAD production ordered

10/31/2009: Received notice of interview cancellation
