if you like japanese curry its easy. you buy a japanese curry mix (java is the best, but vermont is also good). you can get it at any asian market for sure, or sometimes regular grocerys in the international aisle. then you just put meat, onions, potatoes, and carrots in it. the directions are on the back of the box. so good :)

i have had soooo many touches on I-485...kinda making me nervous! got AP yesterday in the mail..still no EAD

I would love to find an asian market near here but no such luck unfortunately! :( There aren't any asian spices in the supermarket either! The closest I can get to anything remotely asian is sweet & sour! lol

Sounds like you are getting close to receiving your interview letter Laura. eeek!

Oh you want to cook curry? The spices you might need are curry powder, cumin, corriander and coconut milk. I sometimes put red onion and garlic, I smashed them. We usually do a lot of this kind of spices in my country, so Indonesian curry and Thai are almost the same, because of the spice isn't that different. I will give you the easy recipe if you want to for curry. Make sure you already know where to buy those spices. That's true like laura819 said, asian market. Also organic stores, they have there too. I found them here

I got my EAD card and they used my biometrics picture. Good thing, I don't lool like an idiot criminal. My husband likes how I look on it ('coz I've been telling him that I might look like an idiot criminal). I am happy to have my card.

Anyway, Wal-mart have certain area with Asian thing, though not so many selection as in Asian store. Before I came here, my husband found an Asian-Filipino store, where I usually find most of my spices and other cooking stuff, plus I could get my favorite Filipino junkies. Hmmmmmm... Jewel-Osco have also section for Asian thing, much better than Wal-mart. The McCormick have curry powder, I just have one when I made chicken curry. Good luck to the cooking, girls!

They will use your biometrics picture for EAD card. Hehehehehe.... They weren't really strict with the pictures here, which I find amazing. I mean in the Philippines, they are so strict with US passport size pictures, no make-up, no earing, and always with blazer.

Good Luck! You will receive yours soon.

Ohh no make-up or earings at all?? Ohh!! Yes that's true, they are really strict about photo in my country too. We have to show our ears, if it's not showing all, we have to take new pictures! Thanks to God, I really followed their instructions so no need to go back and get new photo.

You are right again, they don't care about picture here. I was asking if I should take off my coat, they said it's okay with the coat. Maybe because the picture might be taken from neck to head :D . Also I had my hair cover my ears and they didn't ask me to show my ear!! Haa!!

Ah, how was your weekend? We went to pick mushrooms in the woods yesterday. We got lots. People here used to pick mushrooms when it has the season during the Fall. Then when we got home, I made veggie mushroom soup!! ;)

Spending weekend with our friends on other town. Then, I made them Bulgogi (Korean beef stir-fry with sesame seeds) for dinner, and fried pepper rice. Yummy! Good thing they liked it.

Husband said here in our area, it's hard to tell which mushrooms are edible and poisonous. Beef stroganoff with lots of mushroom is yummy!

Ahh... now I really want to eat more!! Talking about foods always makes drooling... He he...

Yes, that's true. Should be careful with mushrooms in the woods. The ones that we picked are the yellow ones that they also sell at the store here. I forgot the name, I will ask my hubby and tell you later^_^
