Congrats to everyone having things going on in this thread! Its so exciting how fast its going for some of us! For those of us that got transferred to CSC, does anyone have any idea what kind of timeline we are on?? Like how many months we can expect to wait?

@laura819

Some people in August Filers got their approvals for GC only in 2 months after being transfered to CSC:)

Based on other transferred time lines we are looking at somewhere between 1 to 2 months (varies quite a bit by case) after the transfer date.

The fact that I rescheduled my biometrics for a later date might delay things for me though.

That would be fantastic!

I got a call today to do a temporary clerical job for 2-3 weeks, possibly longer. I graduated college in March and have been looking since then, so I am very excited to have ANY kind of work!

I'd like to start some work once the EAD card comes through, I am a teacher by profession but before I can start I've had to send off my UK qualifications to be converted into US equivalent and then after that I got to apply for state certification/licence to teach. To be honest I don't know what sort of job I could do while I'm waiting lol.

You could substitute teach. You don't need a license to do that. What state are you in? I am looking for something in HR but have yet to find anything (I am obviously the USC).

I'm in Alabama and in particular Elmore County but my wife and me are looking to move into Georgia by Christmas time. I will apply for certification in Georgia but I never realised you don't have to be certified to substitute teach, I will look into it, thanks!

I know atleast in Indiana, where I am, all you have to have is SOME college done. That's it! So I am sure you would be able to!! Here, its like $70/day for pay..but it differs with each school system.

Today I received a letter from USCIS requesting me to redo my biometrics. It seems that FBI was unable to process my fingerprint card. Sigh.... They scheduled me to end of the month but will try to walk in again this Friday.... :)

Cheers....

Just checked it for here and it is only $55 per day :blink: That is less than minimum wage, if you base it on a 8 hour day. I think that's not an option, that amount is appalling compared to what I got back in the UK when I did supply.

Is that for EVERY school system? I know it really varies here..you might check other ones..but if that IS for all of them, that sucks :( But it might be worth it while you are still looking for something...because something is better than nothing.
