Does anyone know if it possible to expedite an EAD? My H1B visa expires next week and I am scared I wont get my EAD before it expires. Any insight on the topic would be helpful.

The timeline:

10/16/03 Moved to US on H1B (good for 3 years)

08/24/06 Second H1B (good for another 3 years)

07/01/07 Met husband

07/27/08 Engaged

03/14/09 Married- snowy, winter wedding in Vermont!

08/31/09 I-485, I-130, I-765 & I-131 received at lockbox in Chicago

09/04/09 Checks cashed and Notice issued

09/11/09 NOA's received for I-485, I-130, I-765 & I-131

09/14/09 Biometrics Appointment received (Appointment for 10/7/2009)

09/19/09 Complete Biometrics (Walk-in at Boston center)

10/05/09 Received Notice of Interview (Interview on 10/29/2009)

10/06/09 EAD approved

10/06/09 Advance Parole approved (documentation being sent out)

10/09/09 Second email sent from USCIS saying that the EAD card is being produced

10/13/09 Advance Parole documents received

10/14/09 Email from USCIS saying EAD has been sent out

10/16/09 EAD rec'd

10/29/09 INTERVIEW

10/29/09 GREENCARD APPROVED at Interview

10/30/09 Greencard sent out

11/09/09 GREENCARD ARRIVES in the mail!

I've never heard of that...you might try asking in the forum specifically for AOS from other visas...I think all/most of us are from K1/K3 so I doubt we'd have experience with that!

Today is my hubby's bday..if the EAD came through today that would be the best present ever....hey I can dream right? haha

2/24/09: NA02 APPROVAL... finally, after 9 MONTHS & 8 DAYS!!

5/5/09 : Interview Date APPROVED!!!!

5/8/09: visa received

From NA01 to interview: 12 LONG MONTHS!!

07/23/09: received SSN

08/17/09: Passed Driving test

08/22/09: Married on beautiful Mackinac Island, MI

AOS

08/31/09: Mailed AOS Package

10/20/09: Received AP

10/21/09 Received EAD card

12/7/09 AOS APPROVED!

12/14/09: Green Card arrived in mail. Happy Days!

It's taken 18 months from applying for K1 to receipt of Green Card! Thank God it's over until 12/7/11

Here we go again...

7/2/12: Approved. New Card Ordered

Yes I would just wait for a couple of days, what was your NOA date on your forms?

I guess I should join the discussion on this thread too.

We filed our AOS in Sept.

We got the three NOA1 letters in the mail last week, all 3 are dated Sept 23. I opened an account and tried to add the case numbers (all start with MSC-xxxxxx), it is still telling me "Attempting to add a case that does not exist. Check the app receipt number." It won't accept the dashes, so of course I'm putting in the numbers without the dashes.

Has anyone else run into this? I'd like to be able to track the touches and get the CRIS emails etc., like y'all are doing.... I remember doing this back during the K1 process, but I don't think I had a problem entering the receipt number as I do now.

we got ours in the mail today and I was trying to add the case numbers too and got the same message. Keep me posted on when you get it to work.

Yes I would just wait for a couple of days, what was your NOA date on your forms?

11/16/2009 After 2 WEEKS of checking the mail thinking the EAD and AP come about the same time, we get the "card production ordered" email for the EAD.. better late than never.. thank you LORD!!!

11/19/2009 receive another email stating "card production ordered"

11/23/2009 receive EAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11/30/2009 bittersweet interview, but WE ARE APPROVED

12/02/09 social security card in mail

OK I need a favour off everyone in this thread, I need you all to access the spreadsheet (in my signature) and check over the entries I've put in for you, look for any possible errors I've made and any missing pieces of data for your case such as:

1) Type of visa adjusting from

2) Whether you sent off a I-693

3) NOA date

4) Biometrics date

5) Whether you will attend Biometrics on the date given or will you try an early walk in

6) If you have been transferred to the CSC yet

7) Whether you filed for EAD or AP or both on top of your AOS application

Is this lonnngg waitt normal???

we sent our AOS on Sept 27th.. it was on the 29th byr Chydar or whatever the last name was.. and so far we haven't gotten nothing from USCIS yet. no e-mail. letter.. nothing...

I am freaking out!!!!

How long does it take to they get back to us??? no even the check was cash yet!!
