update on my aos: received NOA1 for I-485, Travel Document and Employment Authorization. hopefully when we get back from our travel next week, i'll have the schedule for biometrics appointment.

Just mailed AOS yesterday and USCIS already received it at 1:55pm. Am totally bored now, been out of work since 10'08.....i miss keeping myself busy...an can't work without the SSN (having trouble with that, manual verification for over a month now!) and just waiting for the EAD etc... job is already waiting...aahhhh!!!. thouht im alone with the boredom....

Well, since I finished college and right after my professional examination in the Philippines, I've been working with only 15-days a year vacation leave. Then 2 years after, I started studying again my post-graduate studies. I miss being free with time constraint activities in my life... Hehehehe... So, I just enjoy every minute that I have free time now. I did try to learn how to bake, and keep cooking dishes that I wanted to cook but never had time to do before because I am so busy. And I am pampering my husband. I just told him to enjoy it while I am not yet too busy because once I work again, we will divide the house chores. I organized all things in our house so that it would be easy for us to maintain things when we are both busy. I helped doing research for his friends and dad. I trying to plan a small online business (arts and crafts).

I guess..... just enjoy your free time..... do interesting things that you didn't do before because you are soooo busy.

Hahahahaha!... me too... I really love cooking. I am giving my husband a no carb or low carb diet to make him a bit more lean for health reasons (gaining weight isn't good for his heart). So, I experiments different kind of dishes and I copy from food network cute garnish. Then, I set our table always to make him feel that we are in fine dining.

I never been baking in my whole life until I got here. My third attempt of baking bread turned to be perfect. Hahahahaha! I am so proud of myself.

Got biometrics done this afternoon at Charlotte office. When my husband and I got there, we were the only ones and then people started to turn up for their appointments. Anyways, in and out within 10 minutes, no sweat! :)

Thanks.... It was definitely worth the trip though it was pretty near. I just hope the two weeks early walk-in makes a difference to our processing timeline!

hey everyone! just checking Sept. AOS filers :D I plan to submit mine between 1st to 2nd week of October. Will get the result from my chest xray on Tuesday coz i was positive on TST. aaargh. hopefully Ill be able to get my I-693 from the CS then.. I still have to fix my I-194 as my name was mispelled :crying: anyway, wish ur application gets a speedier process.

I have created a spreadsheet time line for AOS September filers, if anyone would like to be added to the sheet or if there are any errors, incomplete values just post in this thread and I will make the necessary changes. Also any recommendations or improvements for the sheet would be greatly appreciated.

There are only two sets of data that is outstanding:

1) Whether you submitted the I-693 Medical Form with your AOS Package

2) Whether you intend doing an early walk in on Biometrics and if so when or if you are not and are attending Biometrics on the date that was given to you by USCIS.

I sent my I-693 & I won't be doing an early Bio walk in. I'm gonna stick to my 13th Oct appointment.

2/24/09: NA02 APPROVAL... finally, after 9 MONTHS & 8 DAYS!!

5/5/09 : Interview Date APPROVED!!!!

5/8/09: visa received

From NA01 to interview: 12 LONG MONTHS!!

07/23/09: received SSN

08/17/09: Passed Driving test

08/22/09: Married on beautiful Mackinac Island, MI

08/31/09: Mailed AOS Package

10/20/09: Received AP

10/21/09 Received EAD card

12/7/09 AOS APPROVED!

12/14/09: Green Card arrived in mail. Happy Days!

It's taken 18 months from applying for K1 to receipt of Green Card! Thank God it's over until 12/7/11
