I am looking at your timeline... why did you have TB skin test? I am just wondering coz it seems that you didn't have sputum culture.

I did have sputum culture though its negative, I still had my TST here. It's negative so I didn't have cx-ray.

I'm a bit nervous...my husband just did the xray at the medical in England...all we did here was transcribe the vaccines. I hope we dont get an RFE. In UK they do a TB vaccine that makes a skin test show up positive...

Hi!.. I hope I am right. I am not a medical person but I did some research. Usually when you got vaccines before you had TB skin test, there's a possibility that you will get positive result. And the kind of skin test differs in every state.

Anyway, only the vaccines are needed if he is from K1.

Walk in biometrics was successful! Including us, and the workers, there were 7 people in the office. At first the lady was like "well we don't really do walk ins but let me see what kind of case it is" and then said "here fill out this form". So she let us lol. hopefully this will keep us moving!

cool.. i am hoping that our office is understanding as well.. im sure that hubby will try to walk in..

so how can u start looking at ur status online?? do u receive some instructions w/ ur noa1???

hi thisislove, to see your status online:

You go to https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do and register so you can log on and add your case in the portfolio. There you will be able to see if your case got a 'touch' and see about the progress of your case. The USCIS website now has new look, so it's really nice.

Yes, you will put your case number in the portfolio on the website once you receive NOA. They will give you three case numbers for each AOS, EAD, and AP:)

A lot of us are given BCG vaccination when we were kids and for that reason, we get the false positive from the TB Skin Test. I had to do TB Skin Test and sure enough, the bump on my arm ballooned to 9mm. So the civil surgeon sent me to do a chest x-ray and according to the health officials here, anyone with positive TB Skin Test has to report to the Health Dept. We did that and they did our x-ray and issued me a letter that my x-ray was negative and no treatment needed. After all the trouble, my civil surgeon put a note that TB is negative.

But then again, I had to re-do my medical so all the above was just part of the procedure for the full medical..

Hi Guys. Anybody totally bored yet? I can't wait to ge this Green Card so that I can do something! I was thinking of completely retraining & going back to college to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a nurse aid to begin with. My job was sales & marketing in the UK & I don't think there's much of a demand for it here in Michigan.

Anybody else wondering what to do about work or thinking of retraining?

I was thinking of completely retraining & going back to college to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a nurse aid to begin with. My job was sales & marketing in the UK & I don't think there's much of a demand for it here in Michigan.

Anybody else wondering what to do about work or thinking of retraining?

Before I got here, I had a terrible accident which immobilized me for 3 months. I drop-out from post-graduate studies because I couldn't go to my classes. Then, I couldn't have my papers in school process after I am processing visa stuff. I went here leaving my school with unfinished business. Now, while waiting for green card, I am processing my papers in my school. And I am making reviewer for me and my husband to get certificate for Professional Engineer.

Also, making a research on how I could I transfer my post-graduate studies here from University of the Philippines.

I make sure I am getting so busy so that my in-laws will not get worried that I am home alone.

Where in Michigan are you from? We just moved my mother in law from Flint to North Carolina. The condition in Michigan is so bad that I seriously think there isn't much left for anyone there not mentioning the unemployment rate is so high that getting a job is a tough competition there.

Well, I did Broadcasting in college and worked in Public Relations and Marketing before I got here but I am also thinking of going back to school. Either getting a Masters or acquiring a new skill that's in demand. Probably going into Healthcare like dental or something. We'll see how's everything after Christmas.

Just mailed AOS yesterday and USCIS already received it at 1:55pm. Am totally bored now, been out of work since 10'08.....i miss keeping myself busy...an can't work without the SSN (having trouble with that, manual verification for over a month now!) and just waiting for the EAD etc... job is already waiting...aahhhh!!!. thouht im alone with the boredom....

Biometrics done after 180 mile round trip, everything went smoothly, we decided to stop off at a Greek restaurant afterwards, very good!

I have been working a lot at home and helping my hubby's business. Also we have church activities every tuesday and wednesday. We have been out for camping few times too since we both like nature a lot so it really helps. The nice things to do are trying to explore the city and find nice things around, that will be really good if both can do that together. Oh football and baseball should be put in the list too:)

Great and interesting news ! Ours was also for 10/13 but I asked for delay. They received my letter on Tuesday and as soon as I have this original back I too will try for a walk in at Michigan City.
