I got my note from the consulate in Montreal outlining what I need to do now for my K3. It appears that everything is online now except the DS-230 part 1 form. I am confused as to what I am supposed to provide them at this stage and what I need to provide at the interview. The checklist has numerous items on it do I provide that now and how online or do I bring that in when the interview is scheduled. Also the medical examination I thought was scheduled by them...it's on the checklist as a required doc. though. Also the evidence of domicile I am unclear as to what that refers to. Thanks for all your help!

Hi,

I'm not all that familiar with the electronic filing that Montreal is providing now, not many are as it has only recently started. There are a few people here who have mentioned they are doing this, cannot remember their names.

Anyway, I do remember that they were scanning documents to send via email.

As for the checklist, this is normally a checklist of things you are going to bring to the interview with you, like the Medical. Basically you would just mark off everything, to let them know when the interview comes, you are ready with all documents.

I believe the DS-230 part one is one of the things you send in advance.

If the instructions are that unclear, I would definately email Montreal and ask them to clarify them for you.

I did find a thread about electronic filing with Montreal - sierratango is doing it as well, I notice in your post you mention you are applying for the K3 - however you must be filing for IR1/CR1 as electronic filing is not available for K3.

Here is the dept of state page, perhaps that will be helpful to you as well:
