From Marlita's blog:

Too tired to talk about how Evan threw the tv remote at me and started bolting out the front door when he experienced his first SoCal earthquake (that was a hilarious day!!)

:rofl::rofl:

And:

I just dont think it possible to be pregnant and eating nothing but starch for a good portion of my life while there. And thats all that I ate while there. It didnt hit me how much starch is in the average Jamaican diet. Lots of potato, rice, breadfruit, fried flour, boiled flour, yam, cassava, bread, bread, and more bread!! I thought I would die!!! I cannot eat that much starch! I hardly ever eat rice. Only eat it now cause Evan wants it, otherwise you'd never find the stuff in my kitchen. And I big chunk of boiled flour....not my cup of tea! Now dont get me wrong, I like this every now and again, but for a weekly occurance, not so much. I eat lots of veggies, and I was pretty hard up on finding veggies in JA at a decent price. Can a girl get some broccli, some green beans, a salad and some tomatoes?!!

I REALLY felt this way the last trip. I was dying for anything not starchy last time! I loved the Canoe Bar in Negril cause they grilled some real veggies and I was about done with starchy foods!

Dear Lord; I'm feeling sad today...sad because I have friends that are hurting and feeling like their lives are spinning out of control...Lord, I pray that you'll stop that spinning wheel put a halt on it and redirect them...let them know that prayer is the key and to give it time and let you take control. You know the pain this temporary, but show them the way, so that they'll know that too. All this I ask in your son's precious name...AMEN

Thanks for linking the update.

Congrats Marlita! :thumbs:

Awww, I want identical twins soooo bad since I'll be starting all over. But if not then I definitely want to try for back to back 9mo. apart and with my history of delivering prematurely it'll probably be more like 6-8mo. apart.

Yeah, Louis has a brother the same age!! His father is always asking him why he hasn't spread his seed around yet. How can he be his son and not have children!???

I would like twins too. Louis is getting 1 pregnancy outta me... so if I have 2 at once..... he will be happy!

Im thinking about opening a school in Jamaica if I can...maybe teach there during the summer months...

Mstee..that is such a GREAT thing you are planning!! We need it..and it is absolutely terrible that Jamaica cannot accomplish eradicating illiteracy.. as the Minister of Education says "We, as the Government, wehave to support parents. Help them to develop this culture of expectation that their children must learn to read and write."

Kimmy -- my dad's older sister did this back in the 90s and could she get support from the government (HELLS NO)...so he funded the first few years on her own and then started to ask for donations. She runs an afterschool and summerschool program out of her house and an adult literacy program...girl, don't get me started with the goverment...mek mi spell it F.U.S.T.R.A.T.I.O.N;

I went to school in Jamaica and thank God for the schooling I had there. My parents wanted my brother and I to do much better than they did in school, so they stood by us in our studies. When I was growing up the other parents in our district looked out for the school kids...

My aunt says it's DIGUSTING that so much energy is put into music, sportsmanship and tourism and di PICKNEY DEM CAAN READ...dem a look fi mek quick money instead. A little boy told my aunt he don't need to go back to school because he's going to become a worldclass runner like Bolt...she said, yeah, but BOLT can read...they little boy replies; wah reading afi do wid running

Oh Lawny it truly is sad and I have seen it first hand even with family members that is why I always do what I can to help out. We have been sending $ down for the past 3 weeks between his and mine trying make sure everyone is ready for school. Education is so important and the key to success!
