JaPrincess - I agree with most of what you said but am I only one who didn't run to tell Damien EVERYTHING that is discussed on this board???

Granted back then, there were only a few yardies online but I've heard so many horror stories. Some I shared but most I didn't.

I don't tell him everything Shemmy

But when something really upsets me, I talk to him about it...

Im kinda the opposite I shut down and then he has to drag it out of me. Im stubborn. I do that because things that are serious to me, might not be as serious for him. I just try to calm it down first, then casually bring it up!

I am most thankful for the communication him and I have. From the day we met, we can just TALK.

I feel like I can tell him anything, and he always seems to know what to say...

I remember when I FIRST joined one of the yardies gave an update that her husband skipped out one day while she was at work :crying:

She came home and everything was just gone...

The next day I CRIED so hard to him and told him if he was ever unhappy to please just TELL me and I would let him go...

Some of the things that happen in this thread hit you in the gut!

I am thankful that I can tell him how I feel no matter how upset I am...

I think talking about the possibilities and how we will deal with them helps...

But you really never know what you will do until you live it yourself I guess.

Hell, I said I would NEVER date a man in Jamaica

And here I am ENGAGED to one

Shemmy I didn't. For one, I don't believe in arming a potential "enemy" on what pitfalls to avoid in trying to fool me...that would make me a fool. Anybody can put on an act and be convincingly in love from a thousand miles away and a few trips scattered through the year. There is no easy way to know for sure if you have the right partner...things and relationships change everyday. It just seems that with International LDRs failing...it always comes down to it being about what the other could get from the person that ended up getting hurt...to a greater extent I tend to agree. However, why are these relationships automatically exempt from the pitfalls of any other normal relationship?

God forbid it doesn't work out for me and A...but I would know with everything in me that we loved each other once upon a time...had a great friendship...but our life paths changed routes at some point, and we had to part ways. I know the sacrifices he has made to be here with me...fearing that there will probably never come a time when his girls can join us. I witness his turmoil everyday wanting to be in their lives and wanting to be happy with me. He told a pastor and his family that he has never been so happy in his entire life...told his sisters (they are his best friends too) that he could marry me everyday...he doesn't have to spit game to me...when he reaches out to rub eye buggers out the corners of my eye...he silently tells me that he loves me. When he tells his little girls at night...daddy loves you...I know that he loves me too. When he wakes up to watch me shower and dress for work just so he won't miss kissing me later...he silently tells me he loves me. When he gets to the last sweetie in the bag and he bites in half and saves me the other piece...he silently tells me that he loves me. When he softly caresses the scar on the back of my neck while we lounge in bed...he silently tells me that he loves me. When he leans in to kiss me goodnight because I fell asleep as soon as I laid down (despite the drool)...he silently tells me that he loves me. When I come home late at night from working this stupid A$$ shift they gave me....to a spotless home and a STARVING man...and he tells me baby nuh fret bout cooking...I'll grab a bowl of cereal the boys are good...he silently tells me that he loves me.

Hold on...I've gotten off track some how...:whistle::innocent:

We have posted red flag posts here before...and all it tends to do is upset someone. It doesn't make them wake up or question what may be right under their noses...because NOONE wants to believe they got scammed.

I wish the US would make it easier for people to visit our shores...because I think it would cut down on the number of flim-flam relationships and I was used for a greencard horror stories...clear the path for those people that are truly interested in starting a relationship with someone from a different country.

Man I love my husband.

Maybe it would get some women to thinking when they see the things happening in their relationship.

Police have arrested a 20-year-old woman accused of throwing her 10-month-old son over a fence because of a dispute she had with the baby's

father, THE STAR has learnt.

The woman, Felicia Brookes, a labourer from Sligoville, St Catherine, has been charged with child abuse, police say. She is booked to face the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court next week Tuesday to answer to the charge.

Police told THE STAR that about 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Brookes went to the home of her child's father to deal with a domestic matter. An argument developed between them, the police say, and she left in 'a huff' to her home where she picked up her 10-month-old son and returned.

Having returned to the father's home, the baby was thrown over the fence and the father told to "hold this man".

suffered head injuries

Police say the child hit the ground and suffered head injuries and had to be rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital where he received a number of stitches and was admitted in a serious condition.

Brookes, the police further say, went to the institution and reported that the child fell and hit his head, however, following investigation by Detective Corporal Kirk Roache, she was taken into custody and later charged.

Just a day before this incident, a man from Church Pen, St Catherine, was taken into custody after he was accused of throwing his three-month-old baby into a wall, resulting in the child's death. The man and the child's mother reportedly had a dispute when the incident happened.

What irks is when women who comes on here saying their men don't want them on here...just makes me think they are only telling them the bad stories. I would hate to only hear negative things too.

Damien has met quite a few husbands (I think 10 but too sleepy to count) from this board. So obviously we discuss some things but not everything especially if it doesn't pertain to us. We have way more important to things discuss.
