they say they are not the same names (even though they are both govt issues documents with pics to identify me) so i have to change my name on my trn

ideally i would love to walk into a job when i get there but it looks like i'll have to tough it out for a first couple months

but we will see

yeah mon.. rest yaself a likkle while, HOPEFULLY it won't be too long of a vacay...

Sus, I WISH I was leaving for JA on Thursday, so I could go to the finale on Friday in Kingston.

Also, I saw that same headline about the final two awaiting their fat.

Philly, if you've seen this season, Anthony has not liked Tia from day 1. He's called her, pretty much every week, the pretty contestant. He clearly has not liked her voice (and seemed bitter that she's in the finale instead of Adena), but that's his prerogative because music is subjective. What one person enjoys listening to or watching, another doesn't. If you saw the article from Clyde the other day, he indicated that of all the contestants, he'd prefer to produce for Tia. Similarly with American Idol this past season, some would say that Adam Lambert had the better voice, but they would prefer listening to the music that Kris Allen would put out.

I disagreed with his comment about not liking the director's pick because it was another roots-ish song. As Nadine pointed out, that's the music she wants to do professionally, so singing songs like that give us an idea of what she'll sing. Following that same thinking, I was not fond of the choice "Save the Best for Last." Will Tia sing slow R&B ballads? Doubt it. She's indicated, both on the show, and in conversations, that she plans to sing culture music. I wish they told us what songs all the judges picked, as I'm curious to know what Anthony would've had her sing.

Hey Nat,

Anthony works our nerves and Hubby is always calling him Batty Fish dis and dat LOL. The judges can have their say but the votes and outcome are up to the people! How is the Princess doing is she nervous?, does this seem surreal now I can't imagine what the wait is doing to her!

Oh man, I have no idea what is going on here in VJ Yardie land. Not sure if many of the folks here even remember me. I wanted to come in an say hello....and catch up on the gossip of course, haha!!

Well here's my gossip. Evan and I are doing great. He's been here almost a YEAR this coming October. I CANNOT believe ho fast time flies. We are also expecting....twins!! We celebrated our first anniversary here last month and now we are preparing to be new parents. Not sure who else is in the VJ yardie wata but would love to hear about it.

I've been relaxing at home since being laid off back in Feb. Got a GREAT job offer last week, but had to decline it due to the twins on the way and not wanting to take up more than I can handle right now. So i am just looking for part time work. Evan's been working since Jan and is also looking for something better so thats helped us out alot. Other than that, I am usually home and BORED OUT OF MY MIND!!! How are you ladies!!??

monday.. we celebrated labor day jamaica style by cleaning the house and then american style at my moms BAR B Q!!!

Is that how they celebrate holidays in Jamaica?? By cleaning? Yuck!

My fiance and i decided to get some of his shots out they way since they are cheaper at the clinic... and he needs a few . why did he tell me last nigh you know me and needles dont get along ... i had no idea i was trying not to laugh//

My2, we did that, too... We thought Steven got all the shots in advance, but some of them required multiples, so at the medical, they gave him the second one.

Steven also was not feeling the needles, which I FULLY understand. Then he REALLY wasn't feeling the full-body exam they give.
