Looks 'nifty' but not very practical (and won't very likely be popular if it even makes it to the market). Will weigh a ton - one monitor appears smaller than the other and can you imagine what these would look like at your local coffee house? A sea of monitors...

I don't get it at all.

The whole idea behind a laptop is portability and low weight/power consumption. That thing is a beast.

I sit on a trading floor where all our traders have arrays of screens in front of them, powered by high end workstations. That makes sense to me.

For our floor traders who trade in the pits, they use handhelds and tablets. I doubt any of them would be interested in something like this if we offered it to them.

But yeah... ultra mobile folks... this is not for you.

Well, dual screens are nothing. I have six screens at home, and 6 screens at work. Plus, I get to play with all the cutting edge technology prior to release. Well, those that we make anyway. Anyway, those CAD tools need the best resources available.

I have so seriously considered taking CAD classes and going back into drafting rather than stay in education. Would be nice to work from home a few days a week. Dual monitors would definitely come in handy then.

Love it. I have dual screens at work. Amazing how fast you get spoiled.

Same here. :)

OK you guys, I love dual monitors, but aside from stock and commodities trading, what good are they?

work (or go to class) on one screen...play (FB or VJ) on another! :D

.......Now if HAL 9000 could only get help with the Littermaid Deluxe Mega litterbox at home... a month old and already the rake jammed.

We have one of those for Winston ( our cat) and love it he loves it too!

It's sooooooooooooo nice NOT having to deal with mess/smell and scraping through the box to pick out clumped poop-it does it all but you have to keep the rake track brushed of litter and not over fill the tray with clean litter & make sure the waste recepticle is not over full.

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

FOr these and similar reasons I went back to a standard litter box. After buying 2 of these automated litter box devices, my conclusion was that they were no less work in keeping clean than a standard litter box. I think they need to make a bigger automated litter box with a bigger rake made of metal, and a larger capacity poop storage box. maybe then, it would be a true time-saving and convenience device.

ittzallgood,

I have a point to make. What good of a gaming machine to a writer when all they do is write? Am I right? So, these dual monitor or multi-monitor setup would be useful for those who use them.

I have no idea that there's such a thing as an automatic cat litter.

I saw a really cool triple screen computer set up at Fry's Electronics. It was a flight simulator and very cool.

OK, I like the example of a writer who has his work on one screen, and playtime on another.

Hmmm, electronic cat litter, I like the idea. Nano technology to the rescue!
