I have filed for AOS in June and had my bio appt in July. As of today, nothing heard from USCIS or any updates on the case according to its website. I think my application is pending with the local office at Albany, NY. Anyone here running on similar timeline or belong to the same local office? In just a few days, it will be 2 months since bio appt.

Sorry for opening a new topic here, but I cannot find the AOS June File Group to add myself to the list.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Hey missing,

You can check my timeline. Same country, same local office (if Albany - your profile says NYC), Filed around June 1st, NOA around June 12, Biometrics 7/7, transferred CSC 7/21. My wife received her green card about 2 weeks ago.

Did you sign up for email notification? If your status online says pending at the office it was transferred to, that could mean Albany or it could be in California already. You might call USCIS and ask where exactly it is pending. (I didn't get a notice that it was transferred and called and asked where it was pending and after putting me on hold a few times she came back and said CSC) If it is still in Albany then I'd guess you'd be getting an interview appt letter soon. If it is in California then you'd probably be getting the green card soon.

Let me know if I can be of any further help.

Hi missingyou,

I applied on Jun 24, bio on July 27, case transferred to the csc california office. Still waiting too ... wow Joe, that's quick, very encouraging!

The Lord is my strength and my shield,

My heart trusted in Him and I am helped,

therefore my heart greatly rejoices,

and with my song I will praise Him.

We applied June 27th for my wife's AOS.

Bio was Aug 4th.

EAD/AP approval emailed Aug 21 (AP received Aug 26, EAD still pending).

GC interview letter received around Aug 18 for Sept 22 interview.

You aren't really behind. I would only worry if you don't receive any word on the EAD or AP in the next couple of weeks.

I signed up for USCIS' online noticification, but all it says its still pending. I got a touch a day after my bio appt, but that's it. My two yr anniversary will be in October, so I actually hope that I will get a 10 yr card at once, but if 2 yrs is what they will give me, I hope it will come sooner.

Good idea, I will call USCIS to find out where application is pending at the moment. Thank you for answering my questions.

To rest of the responses:

THANK YOU for answering me. I notice that some people get their GC sooner than others, but I just want to make sure that I am still within everyone's time frame. thank you and good luck to you all!

Thanks. I looked through that thread. Looks like most of them either got their GC or already have interview letter on hand waiting for their appt.

I justed called USCIS and the rep just repeated everything to me as I can read the samething online myself. Um... don't know how to get through the rep to nail some real info out of them...

I just kept asking if she couldn't find a way to determine what office it was actually pending in. As I said she put me on hold several times after saying she was still looking. I suspect she may have asked someone how to get that info.

I'd call back. Sometimes it is a matter of hitting the rep who is willing to look for the info. If she hadn't told me, I might have asked if she could ask a supervisor how I could get that info.

Good luck.

Obviously, we were very happy with the swiftness. :D

The down side was that it made it seem like a waste of time to do the EAD & AP application. She had the AP document for 10 days and the EAD card for only a week before we had the green card. Needless to say, she hadn't found any work in that week. :P
