Please note that in the state of texas you need a state issued ID to purchase and/or use alcohol or tobacco. your passport is not acceptable id for those items. if you get stopped or "carded" you _will_ receive a ticket if you don't have some sort of state issued id.

Huh? That doesn't seem accurate to me! I have purchased alcohol and tobacco in Texas and my Ontario driver's license was acceptable I.D. Another time I used my Canadian passport (because I have found that some people have a hard time finding my date of birth on my license) and that was fine, too. How else would somebody who either doesn't live in Texas, or has recently moved to Texas be able to prove their age in order to purchase those items?

06/28/11 - Sent 1-751 to VSC

07/29/11 - Biometrics appointment (OKC)

01/20/12 - I-751 approved!
