Well, I don't think photos will necessarily get you an RFE. I heard of someone else not sending any photos and they were fine. I just went over my I-130 petition today, and realized I had sent over 60 photos to USCIS. 30 were wedding photos...lol

Bern, I sent a photo book done at a camera store with 38 pictures of photos! It's a very thin book. They (USCIS) sent it back to me the first day. How disappointing!!!!! So now they have no photos, even though I worked all day sitting at a camera store putting it together...

Oh...ouch. Did they rip out any of the pages? And you know, the photo book might be great for the interview! I think I'm going to do something like that myself. But I'm wondering whether or not to include all of the pictures, even the ones of animals, or if they just want photos of me, him ,and the family. I was going through some photos and I found one from May 2008...I was at the zoo with my boyfriend, now husband and there was this one dinosaur...and the way we took the picture...I couldn't stop laughing.

Hey Finn, the online USCIS doesn't show much info (pretty much just confirmation of the receipt). How did you find out about the touches? Do those come in email alerts, or will it make more sense at the site once I get one?

Let me...re-log back into my USCIS and I'll be able to tell you.

When you log in, you'll be able to see the files that you've currently filed in your profile.

I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

So, here is my example. When they got my petition, the Last Updated said 03/18/2009. And whenever we got ''touched'', the date changed to say...05/23/2009. And when we got approved, it changed to 07/15/2009. So a touch is whenever the date under Last Updated changes.

Hope that helps.

If that's the case, I have been touched at least once, since that date is 08/31 on both cases.

Don't be discouraged, you may be closer to approval than you think. Some July filers have been approved already. o-o

Not discouraged at all. Getting my NOA1 today has given me a second wind. But I will join you in hoping that I am closer to approval than I think. That would totally rock :)

I agree, I remember framing my NOA1. It was just a lame moment. :D

Well Bern, first of all I meant 38 PAGES of photos, not 38 pictures of photos. No, the book was very intact. In fact, the pages were still stuck together so I'm pretty sure they never even looked at it. The front cover of the book was a picture of us from 1988. It's such a cool book! I only included photos of us and with family and friends. I couldn't believe we had that many together! You should include the dinosaur photo-too funny!!!!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

Ohhh. I get it. Well, I hope they don't RFE you for their own stupidity. :bonk: And I don't know...the dinosaur photo was sort of inappropriate. It looks like...the dinosaurs neck and head is apart of his...yeah. You know. He wanted one for laughs  He's really werid, he got me a build-a-bear tiger that makes elephant noises...

Yep, Bern explained it! That's why you need to check every day (which I know you do Mark!!!! :D). I actually forgot to check over the weekend, but my last touch was 8/24 anyway. I've never received any email alerts.

I'm soo not ready if I got approved soon! I keep forgetting to order my tax transcripts! Also, my husband hasn't ordered his three necessary police clearances (darn him-he's lived in three countries!) yet! The Finland one is only good for three months so we're waiting a little bit. For Ireland, he actually has to send a photo to his dentist in Finland so the dentist can write a statement that he identified him, then back to Ireland for the police clearance application. They actually specify the occupations that can do this! And he's ordering his Finnish military record, which still needs to be translated once he gets it. I guess we'll be ready after all that, since I already have his original birth certificate, more original marriage certificates, etc...

What a pain in the #######!

Ew, sounds crazy. The worst thing I had to do was fix my last name from Mcgrath to McGrath. I hate Canadian Vital Statistics. Just, get on it. But maybe...wait on the PCC's until you have the NOA2 in your hot little hands. :3
