Groin up as the chubby girl with 0% athletic ability I know how it is to be picked last for the team :crying: It sucks!!! when I was waiting for my NOA2 I would write all my congratulations notes to everyone gettin approved before me, (I really am happy for everyone) but then go have a nice puke and it'd be all better... :jest: One day it'll be ur turn to announce it to everyone that your approved and someone else will ready your post and have a good purge on your success.... I remember freaking out when people in June, July filers were being approved within 30-60 days when no one from March-May was moving. It was so crazy. And I remember being so negative. But yes, everyone's time will come soon! AND THEN WE SHALL DANCE AND PARTY LIKE IT'S 1985. Or 1989. Whatever year is supposed to be in that sentence. :|

Well Augusters I received a text message on my phone while I was in a meeting so when I checked the messageit was from USCIS and it said my case status had been updated. So I got on the site and looked and I saw the message that I was approved on 9/22. I cannot believe this, it is happening for us guys late in August also. I hope to see a few more of us in the coming days!:dance::dance:  :dance::dance::dance:

WOO HOO.

Just got an email that I-130 was approved today. :)

Although I haven't posted that much it has been nice to read about others in the same position.

I will redirect all of my positive thoughts to you guys.

sorry for the late congratulations but CONGRATULATIONS!! woot woot! keep em coming NOA2s!!

confused1 i do not allow bashing on my thread, this process is very hard and very emotional for everyone some people handle it better than others and thats why i stay positive so that my positive energy will rub off on my fellow filers please do not post any negative comments on this thread all my fellow August filers know that i won't have it this is not the place to point fingers i really appreciate you sharing but lets keep it on a positive note....Finn please do not respond to her comment...i am sure if you were in the shoes of these filers who have been waiting for months such as a MARCH filer you would not be so quick to disagree with Finn's comment so let's be considerate of other people's feeling and not bash someone for expressing their thoughts and feelings.

PS. remember USCIS is only the begining of one's journey anything can happen and we all will need help, we all need to stay positive so that we can get the info we need and learn from other people's experiences (we all have the same goal right now to be with our loved ones).THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION!t31161.gift31161.gift31161.gif

AMEN!

i wanted to add to finn's defense but i agree to let that topic die 730_machine_gun_shooting_smiley.gif730_machine_gun_shooting_smiley.gif730_machine_gun_shooting_smiley.gif

(look what you did MsSheka, you rubbed off on me with all those smileys! )

stay positive august filers. i know i am trying. i am drawing my positivity from MsSheka :)

1999 is the year you want. Although, since I graduated HS in 1985, that will work too :)

And, yes, I have to shame-facedly admit that I am a Prince (or is it Artist Formerly Known As Prince) fan.

(And Mark begins to sing "Purple Ran" horribly off key.)

Mark :)

Christeen-I can't believe you were chubby! Anyway, thankfully I haven't puked yet over this whole process...and I can't believe there's no puke emoticon!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone! And good evening Abbie!

I saw Prince in concert back in the 80s! Venue was horrible (sound sucked) but it was fun!!!! I think it was in the old Arena Mark!

Congrats Saaheb!

Let's hope for more approvals today (or more people find out today they got approved yesterday!). I'm hoping Abbie's turn is next! No offense to the rest-but she's our first August filer!!!! :)

And Ms. Sheka, I think you know by now how much we all admire you (yes, I'm going to speak for everyone!) and love your positive attitude. You are definitely the glue here!!!!
