Congrats all my August peeps!!! Although I have to admit that I am steaming with envy that magicfn got his before mine (since I got my NOA1 3 days before he did). MsSheka is right about it being totally random, but it does kinda blow. I guess I can't complain, since there are loads of May,June and July folks who are still waiting...

Mark :)

Wow, congrats to the approvals for the day! That's so exciting! Nothing for me of course...but that's okay. My hubby can't move until February anyway, so if I could give up my spot, I would!

Okay, I'm full of it. I'd love an NOA2 tomorrow, right before I go back home from AK!

I've checked out timelines for Finnish people, and they all seem to take longer. I have no clue why!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

I sent mine via email, MsSheka. :)

can either of us email it or my hubby has to?

I emailed it myself, I am the beneficiary. We also did mail the form to them too.

Here is the very useful link that I used when I did my own process and some people got done with these steps only within 2 weeks

Mommy, I'm confused. Or maybe it's because I just woke up (love the time difference in AK!). You do the NVC simultaneously with your I-130 for the IR-2 visa?

Oops Mommy, never mind. I looked at your timeline! I'm still confused but that's okay!

Our timeline:

I was wondering when calling after the NOA2 and give your email addresses for both the beneficiary and petitioner, if when sending the DS-3032 from the beneficiary's email address that NVC would accept this. The reason I ask is because anyone with your information could send in the DS-3032 saying that they were the petitioner.

It HAS to come from the beneficary's email address.

Just so you guys know, the NVC appears to be slow in either receiving or putting in their cases. There are people that got their NOA2s early this month that are just now getting their NVC case numbers. It seems to be taking 15 days or so (from the date of NOA2) to have a number assigned by the NVC

Just for kicks I checked my case on USCIS and it was touched again after it was approved on 9/15. Someone said this would probably be USCIS getting the file ready to send to NVC. So it would appear that they held onto my file for 4 days until sending it out.

I sharing because I don't want more people to be disappointed once they get through the USCIS stage....
