June seems a little slow but things started picking up in July! Yay August club! I have way too much nervous energy. I want to have all my docs (hubby's police certs, etc...) before my NOA2! I don't think I'll even have it all together for another month or so. His Ireland police cert. is taking forever (he had to send a passport photo to his dentist so the dentist could verify him per Ireland requirements for the cert, and now his parents are sending that back, then he sends it to Ireland with the application, blah blah blah).

I need to get to work and not think about all of this!!!!!

oh man thats crazy Finn, but like you i'm trying to get all the documents ahead of time,

BTW is this all he needs?

Birth Certificate

Marriage Certificate

Photocopy of Valid Passport Biographic Data Page

Police Certificate(s)

I think that covers it! My hubby has lived in three countries, hence the running around for the police certs. He also was in the military (as are all Finn men!) so he's waiting for that. Oh, and passport photos-but wait for those.

And those darn immunizations...the hubby may get some beforehand, but he's waiting to see if the military sends him some shot records. Otherwise he has to redo them all! Ouch.

I should have my tax transcripts next week though! I'll get the employment letter at the last minute.

Finn,

My husband doesn't have his shot records either, but he can take a blood titer test and those results can stand in place of shot records. That is basically a blood test where they check for signs of the immunizations that are needed to gain a US Visa. If something is missing, then he will only need those shots. Maybe your husband can do that too?

Danielle

Wow, that's interesting! I've never heard of that. I'll check with the embassy and see if that'll suffice! That'll save him a huge amount of pain... :crying::lol:

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

Unless, of course, the titre test is MUCH more painful than the immunizations would be (Sorry, sir, but we must extract a pint of blood with this implement that looks amazingly similar to a grease gun).

You could also call USCIS and see if their customer service will help (watch the BP, though).

don't worry redmen99 you don't have to get any touches to get an approval  , in fact the last july filer that was approved said the only touch they got was the APPROVAL!:dance:

true true. as they all say, touches don't really mean anything unless it's that much awaited touch -- the approval  i just got so excited seeing that somebody took a look at our file is all
