If you meet all the requirements for citizenship, you can apply while your I-751 is pending. It will not be processed until your I-751 is approved, but it will, supposedly, get your I-751 on a faster track. I hope this helps.

The lawyer is wrong. :)

If you meet the requirements to file the N-400, you are eligible to file it, approved I-751 or not.

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

Yes you can apply as many here have done, as long as you meet the requirements. Your I-751 will be approved raher quickly and then your N400 in its due time.

n400 instructions First page who may file this form will let you know if you qualify

5/4/10 received AOS and DS3032 via email
9/22/10 Interview BOG Passed
10/3/10 POE JFK all went well

Yes, as John mentioned earlier in the thread - as long as he meets all the requirements, he can apply for citizenship. Those links should help him determine that.
