Hey guys. In July we recieved the notice about my GC interview date scheduled - September 1 ( which also happens to be my husband's 40 birthday (F) )

I do not have time lines here (sorry about it ) but have to say that was relatively quick, I filed at the end of April and sent the Immunization and medical form even later- in June.

I have found so much usefull information at this forum, thank you so much guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a couple of quick questions. I have recieved a list of papers that we have to bring to the interview in my appointment letter, but should I also bring the copies of all my applications with me ( I 485, 1-130) ? I remember in the instructions to these forms it was mentioned that we shoud have two more copies of the actual applications. So do you bring them to the interview or not?

Also we have 2 kids and I was thinking about taking them with us, but not sure if it is a good idea. What do you think?

Bring not only the appointment letter but most importantly the evidences of a bonafide marriage. I am not sure about the kids since we don't have our baby yet that time. Good luck.

Leave the kids at home. No need for them to be there.

Follow the recommendations in the VJ Guides. Bring originals and copies of all evidence and forms filed. Bring your copy of the entire K1 package.

If you did it on your computer and saved all the forms there, it should be no problem for you to just reprint all the forms. You may not need them, but you should bring copies of everything you've sent.

I personally wouldn't recommend bringing your kids if you can find someone to watch them. Your interview is very important and you don't want to have any distractions. Also, there may not be much room for them at the USCIS office-when we had our interview it was almost standing room only.

The only thing is... the forms in my computer are not dated, as I dated them by hand after I printed them out ( before mailing). so just wonder - does that matter? does that have to be the same day as on those mailed applications ( which I do not exactly remember ) or it is not that important and it could be the date - just prior to my appointment date?

One more thing. My letter says to bring

"A completed Affidavit(s) of Support (I-864) with all required evidence for each of your sponsors ( unless already submitted) "

Well, I did submit 2 Affidavits- from my husband and my mother- in -law (co-sponser) when mailing my initial package, so as I understand they do not expect me to bring the copies and the evidence .

Or may be I still should - just in case? (I have it in my computer so i could print them out but i will have to go to my mother-in -law to get her signiture on her again. )

What do you think?
