Hi there people

Is it possible to file for an EAD after the marriage BEFORE i file for the AOS ?

I know it costs more in the long run cos ur EAD app isn't free, but we're trying to save money in the short term ?

Any help is much appreciated

You can but it isn't recommended - besides the extra $$, the EAD you would get would expire when the I-94 does (which is 90 days). It isn't really designed for a K-1 entrant.

Best to apply that money to the AOS fee which (as you know) includes the EAD.

A person cannot legally work when out of status.

moved from K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures to Working & Traveling prior to getting a Green Card

concerns working after beneficiary has arrived.
