Travel abroad day after AOS interview

We have our AOS interview September 9. Prior to getting our notice for this, we had to purchase a round-trip airline ticket to the Philippines because my wife's brother is dying. Her flight leaves September 10, the day after the interview.

I read online how the interviewing officer takes the I-94 in the passport, stating a green card will arrive soon. We requested an advance parole for her due to the emergency, in advance, just in case she would need that. But she is here on a K-3 multiple entry visa, so that maybe wasnt even necessary.

The bottom line is will tehre be any problem with her leaving for the Philippines the day after the interview? Will they take anything from her passport that she will need to re-enter the USA at the POE?

Thanks for the help

Usually your passport is kept by the CO to add the immigrant visa to it at the embassy. Your case is adjustment of status. I would ask the relevant authorities before I travel or make arrangements to.

there shouldn't be any problem. right after the interview, your wife's passport will be stamped to show even if she doesn't have her GC yet. when she reenters, she has both that stamp and her parole so she should be ok too in coming back.

K3 is a multiple entry visa. No AP needed if the visa is unexpired.

Yeh... She is right here with me in Virginia though, on a K3 multiple entry spousal visa, in hand. Our Adjustment of Status interview is September 10, in Norfolk, Virginia. Thanks though.

Thanks. I also figured it would be ok. I will probably still mention about it to the officer at the interview I guess, just to be sure all is safe. I just hate having to bring something up at the interview... I mean, I hope it doesnt make a problem. I guess I should also bring along the letters sent to USCIS about the emergency to return to the Phils, and the round trip airline ticket.
