One guy says he "hates" Obama= big emergency

People marching in the streets calling for Bush's DEATH= Yawn.

But that was Bush and Obama is now the president so that's the big difference.

Wait for them to howl if there's a music video of someone throwing a grenade at Obama, cartoon of shooting a painting of Obama, clip of words "sniper wanted" for Obama. a movie about Obama's assassination- pretty bad stuff until you realize all of that stuff happened when Bush was president.

They didn't say much then but look at em go now.

I thought context was the difference. Please forgive those of us that prefer a dose of reality.

But yeah notice the objections to promoting illegal and extreme behavior too, if you can.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

The problem in the states is you have a hell of a lot of rogue (independent) churches that do their own thing and are not accountable to anyone. Using the example you gave, that would never be tolerated in a Catholic or Orthodox church.

True dat...and I would not want to hazard a guess as to how many women ARE abused like this because "the bible says....". The last time I read anything on the subject of marriage in the bible there was NOTHING in it about beating your wife into obedience and submission.

Unfortunately the preachers warped views are considered freedom of religion and speech in America. When someone say such ####### overseas, they're terrorist. When someone says it on American soil, they're just exercising their constitutionally protected rights.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Correct. This is a part of the issue...no confirmed doctrine...rogue theology...

You are all going to burn in hell for making fun of this man of God. How is he any different than the loving and caring Islam Muslim clerics we have all seen in action preaching their word of love! And wait, what about JEREMIAH WRIGHT, want to talk about a NUTCASE, how come we do not see anyone on this post from the far left talking about their Messiah's preacher????

The easiest way to fix this is to make hate speech a crime. Which we know will never ever happen in America.

That is the problem, define "hate" speech that is a crime, as always it is subjective. What offends one does not another.

Seems to work pretty well in Aus and other 'developed' countries. Then again they also got rid of the second amendment; lack of common sense is nothing new for the US.

You should be smart enough to know what would and could be defined as hate speech. Should be being the key word.

Well now beings as we are not in Aussie land or UK land maybe you could elaborate and explain it, which is what I asked the first time but yet you cannot for you do not know what it is and only know what the prime minister tells you what to do. Now I see why the USA revolted from the UK in 1776 and has never looked back!

Strange because if you look at parliamentary vs presidential system, only third world, as in dirt poor, use it. Furthermore, most countries who have tried to implement it have ended up in civil anarchy at one time or another; Which strangely enough is where the US is heading; With the lets spill lbood because we disagree with the government idiotic, moronic, and uneducated nonsense.

To the contrary all of the world's leading, as in better and richer, countries use various versions of the parliamentary system, with some still using being a monarchy.

Median listing price of property price in St Louis, Miwhoi? is $252,193K - Melbourne, AUS $550K+ ouch

Strategically the British did win. They lost the US in 1776 but discovered the land of unlimited resources in 1770.

Critics generally claim three basic disadvantages for presidential systems:

* Tendency towards authoritarianism — some political scientists say that presidentialism is not constitutionally stable. According to some political scientists, such as Fred Riggs, presidentialism has fallen into authoritarianism in nearly every country it has been attempted.

* Separation of powers — a presidential system establishes the presidency and the legislature as two parallel structures. Critics argue that this creates undesirable gridlock, and that it reduces accountability by allowing the president and the legislature to shift blame to each other.

* Impediments to leadership change — it is claimed that the difficulty in removing an unsuitable president from office before his or her term has expired represents a significant problem.

Look at all of these poor countries that use it. That's embarrassing.

Now look at which system of government the rest use. Too many to list.

GDP per Capita. The majority of nations from the top use the parliamentary system.

I'd say checkmate zqt

You want me to throw in the July 2009 median salary of Australians too: $62K AUD. Unemployment figure maybe 5.5%? Anything else?

Pick an issue, separation of church and state? they don't have that. While no preference is permitted, peoples' various religious beliefs are not only celebrated by the government but also encouraged. We call it diversity and acceptance.

Bill of rights? don't have their either yet score incredibly high in terms of equality. Also ranked high in terms of the international human development index.
