Look, not to defend the radical right here... but come on. The word 'revolution' is used pretty commonly in everyday speech, and doesn't always have to bring to mind armed insurrection and mobs in the streets. We talk about the "Internet revolution" and "revolutionary technology" all the time. It's perfectly plausible to interpret these quotes as meaning that "the times they are a changin'" and "we're not gonna take it anymore". Nothing more, nothing less.
