Why not crucify him for it? You still bring up Bush's service or lack thereof on a constant basis. I guess only libs can change for the better, but once and evil conservative, ALWAYS and evil conservative.

Check it again. I only bring up Bush's service record when someone blasts Kerry for his. Kerry went, Bush didn't. And it's not Bush's fault at all. It's the mental midgets who blast someone for going and fighting and turn their heads to the one they support who didn't even report. I thought I made myself clear. Kennedy did a lot of good for his home state and all of America. He was far from being perfect. Let his record speak for itself. It's the same few idiots here in every thread that ignore what actullay takes place and keep crying about the government, etc. Nothing will ever make them happy and the change they want to see will never take place. Dems, Republicans or whoever, they will constantly ###### and moan about everything.

Surprised no one brought up the part where Kerry and some other Lefty Protesters took a STAND for the anti-War movement and before GOD and camera... threw their Medals over the White House fence.

.... Only thing is, Apparently, those weren't his medals, his are now on the wall behind his desk in his office.

How do you toss your medals on Principle...

and then take them back?

If anyone has a more accurate version of the story than my foggy recollection please post.

I for one have always honored John Kerrys service in the Military.

The problem many have is, his conduct when he got back.

Yea, people can't change their views between the ages of 19 and 50. I'm sure you still think and act like you did when you were a teen and never did anything in your life that you would change. Hindsight is always 20/20, isn't it? Kerry went to Vietnam and fought. He protested when he came home. Bush didn't go or report, he is a hero.

He didnt just come home and protest, he tried to speak for many soldiers who couldnt speak for themselves. Regardless to what you think of Bush, Kerry was no gem either.

I never said Kerry was a gem either. He went, Bush didn't. The Bush lovers like to bash Kerry's service record. A bit hypocritical, don't you think?

It would be hypocritical if Bushbaby had brought up his service record, as John Kerry did, as a qualification for running for office. Thing is, Bushbaby didn't.

All the fuss over the 2004 candidates just obscures the real issue here, which is that Dan Rather's producer allowed political bias to get in the way of journalistic integrity (excuse me while I ####### myself laughing for even typing that  ) and allowed the whole piece to be broadcast in the first place, knowing full well the central premise was a lie. Not only did it terminate Rather's career, it also dragged her whole network and what reputation it had left at the time down into the gutter.

That means anyone who likes Bush cant say anything about Kerrys record or there a hypocrite. There is some very trivial things about Kerry's service and anyone should be able to bring it up or question him about it.

To brag of Bushs military record and rag on Kerrys, well yes that would be considered hypocritical.

The thing is a lot of liberals at the time thought guys who went to S. Vietnam were suckers for going and killed babies all the time. This became a popular view after 1968 and for many years later. Part of that attitude came from Kerry who went on about how war crimes were prevalent during the war. Kerry then does a turnabout about his "hero" status. He was never elected as a hero but as a disgruntled vet who did have some medals.

It would be hypocritical if Bushbaby had brought up his service record, as John Kerry did, as a qualification for running for office. Thing is, Bushbaby didn't.

Exactly, still waiting for Kerry to set the record against the Swiftboaters as he said he would. The Vietnam War cred didn't mean squat in 2004 or 2008 when McCain lost to guy who not only didn't go to war, he never the uniform but has no problem sending Palin and McCain's sons off to war but you don't hear that kind of whining on VJ because McCain lost. I could further back how Clinton dodged the draft but beat vets Bush and Dole.
