Curious, how are you able to get a NOA1 within one day of your application being mailed off? The check has cleared for me, but in typical USCIS fashion they wrote right in the center of the border of the check and you cannot even see or read several of the numbers or characters of the case number in order to check status online. Oh well guess will have to wait on the letter in mail, at least I know they have it and it is in the system since last week, but still do not have NOA1 letter or any email from USCIS confirming this so just curious how I see some people getting email notice or NOA1 in like one day after filing? What is the trick or secret?

Can't get an email notice of a NOA1 from ROC - not sure how folks are getting the actual NOA1 within a day - regardless - the receipt number on the actual notice will not work on the USCIS site - you'll have to wait for the biometrics notice (and its receipt number) to be able to track your case online.

Good information, thanks for info.

So what does ROC stand for?

I am not sure how folks get an NOA1 in 1-3 days also, I just noticed on the August list that they were, great for them, just wondered how?

So you mean the actual case receipt number on the check image will not work on USCIS website?

Did not realize you had to wait until biometrics notice now with it's receipt number to check it online.

So what does ROC stand for? Removal of Conditions; aka Lifting of Conditions

I don't believe so, no - it is likely the number (if legible) on the check will be the same as what is on the NOA1 which for whatever reason will not work - case not found - the Biometrics receipt number is 'the one.'

The NOA usually arrives within a week or two, however when persons are placing the NOA date they go by the date it has on the letter which is why you see the 1-3 day thing :D

I recieved my NOA on 7/9/09 however the letter itself was dated 7/2/09 hope this helps your question

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

Otto Von Karin! Very good update and information, new wrinkle from USCIS, thus the WAC number on check image will not work or show up, which is usually same one on the NOA 1 letter so that would be no use also. Did not realize have to wait until Biometric letter now to be able to check case status online.

I see, very well, makes logical sense, good info NaRocks.
