After over 7 months waiting for the NOA2 I became frustrated to say the least. This morning I deleted the "favorite" bookmark for VJ (it's a great site, just needed to step back and stop worrying about the NOA2). Within an hour I got the NOA2 approval via email! So, all you other K1 filers who are getting frustrated - just delete the bookmark for VJ from your browser, should work for you too!!!!

Now for the interview!

Thank you all for the kind words. Interesting thought on deleting the bookmark to the embassy as well!

I forgot to mention in my original post I firmly believe the NOA2 approval was a DIRECT RESULT of my Congressman's inquiry with the USCIS. Although I can't prove I would not have received the approval within the same time frame even without the inquiry it seems more than coincidental that within 1 day of the inquiry our approval was granted. To all you nay-sayers out there - at least in my case the Congressman's assistance paid off. May the rest of this process go smoothly and quickly for each of you.

Congrats and good luck on the rest of your process

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

You may not too off on the congressman thing.... I was getting frustrated so I decided to email my congressman, but I did not get a response. About a week later I got my NOA2.... I thought it may just be coincidence also until I read your post. You would think the congressman would respond, but maybe they forward the email to someone who can assist? So, it's worth a shot to write or call your congressman, even if it is just to vent!!

Thanks for your input : )

I agree 100%! I quit browsing the VJ website, and our NOA2 came shortly after. Sometimes you just have to put the waiting stress aside and focus on the relationship :) Congrats!!!
