Who is notified?

Hello,

I'm about to mail in the I-130 and G-325A forms here in the states. My question is where do they send all the corresponding letter?. To me (the US wife) in the states or my husband in South Africa? Reason for question is because my husband doesnt actually have an address in South Africa. He lives on a boat that travels the world and all of his mail comes here to me in the states.

Should we put his parents address in South Africa somewhere on a form and if so where? Or will all the information be sent to me here in the states for me to forward on to him?

What visa are you applying for? I wouldn't list a US address for your husband if he does not reside in the US. I'd list his parent's address overseas (what did you put as his address on the G-325A for the last 5 years?)

We are applying for the IR1 spouse visa. We will be married for 2 years next month. I havent put his address as here in the the states I have put the boats information that he works on.

On the 325a for the past 5 years he has lived on a boat as well. We worked together on a yacht for this whole time so there isnt really an address to include.

I was thinking we could put his parents mailing address somewhere on the form or attach a letter explaining that he gets his mail sent to his parents and they forward it on to him where ever he may be in the world.

For the CR-1/IR-1 there is very little doucmentation sent to the beneficiary (the visa being the obvious one) so putting his parent's address as the mailing address should not be an issue. Just add a letter explaining the situation (signed by the beneficiary of course) and it will be fine
