Hi guys!

What's everyone's thoughts on getting started on the packet 3 forms before you actually get your NOA2? Do people do this often? or should I wait in case the forms change?

I have a big guide book on what forms and documents that we need to get prepared, and you can download the forms online. My Fiance and I are May filers with VSC so now we are just waiting patiently for our NOA2 and the packet 3 (like ya'll are).... I feel like I need to do something productive to keep from going crazy

Thanks for your advice!

My answer is easy... YES YES YES!! Lol. This was probably my longest thing (in terms of paperwork, waiting is always longer :P)... even though I got started a little early (maybe a fortnight it turned out to be) I still ended up waiting around a month till I could send stuff off.

I see your beneficiary is from Australia so here's my thread which takes you from NOA2 to Interview (for now, just got approved 2 days ago :D) http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=206016 and here's an Australian thread that's just kinda general stuff http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=183541

What state are you from? I'm from Melb and my Police Cert (even though I had no record) took 3 weeks, instead of the quoted 10 days. The medical appointment can take a while to book, but the person I booked through took 2 days to get me in. And those results are valid for a year so as long as you get married within a year and start the AOS thing (you need the medical results for that). Also, my fiance took a while to get his banking information sent out and forwarded to me for the Affidavit of Support.

My thread also gives you what to expect from P3 (which came really fast for me after NOA2) including the links that you're mailed. As for pre-filling forms, I do this too. I've already started on the AOS ones (including writing my married name!! YAY!!)

I hope this helps. :) Good luck :D

Also, as for pre-filling forms, I do this too. I've already started on the AOS ones (including writing my married name!! YAY!!) even though we're not getting married till November... I'm telling you right now that I'm send off those forms as soon as I get my marriage licence! lol. Also, if it helps, my fiance and I had NO RFE's and were not asked for any evidence at my final interview... we must have sent good stuff I spose :P

Thanks Vanessa!

I will start on them straight away  It will be nice to feel like we are making some progress, even if we are jumping the gun. I'm in Adelaide, so I will have to go to Sydney for my interview. I have been told by the appointed doctor here (there is only one in Adelaide), that I cant get the medical done till I get the packet 3. But I will get all the paperwork and evidence done in the meantime. Thanks for your advice.

And CONGRATULATIONS on the Visa! I hope you have a wonderful wedding in November. :D
