Rick and I are still waiting for our NOA2s also. I have read on a number of posts that VJ members have received e-mail notifications that their NOA2s have been approved, and to wait for the hard copy to be mailed.

We're getting pretty anxious...it's like the rest of the world is getting their NOA2 left and right and we are lagging...wonder what is taking them so long? :(

I miss my husband so much... :crying:

Hi. We got married a day after you guys did :D and like you guys we are still waiting for NOA2. The waiting is killing us but we are praying that the wait is going to be over soon and that NVC is going to be a faster journey.

Hi macymace! I got a notification thru email from USCIS that our petition was approved last Aug. 21 but we haven't receive the hard copy and it's killing me... I really want to start with the NVC and complete the process. I really want to be with my husband before christmas. Please let's update each other and other May filers who already got their NOA2 and NOA2 hard copy. Thanks!

Lady AA, if your papers were approved last Aug 21, I am positive that it was now forwarded to NVC. Call the NVC at 603-334-0700 and follow the voice prompt to check if they have received your papers already. And this time, if its with them already, then you can send the choice of agent. From there, everything will be really fast...

Hard copy is needed in the later time.

Goodluck.

Hi luvtechwifey! Do the NVC will give it to me the NVC case#? I hope you can help to know the process at the NVC. thanks a lot.

Yes. The AVR will give you the NVC case #. This time, you need your receipt number you got from your NOA1. Call NVC and input your Receipt notice.

If you have questions, feel free to ask me. :)

I already called the NVC and they haven't receive our case and my husband is still waiting for the NOA2 hard copy. I saw in some post here that they got their NOA2's hard copy for just 5-7 days and got NVC# for !week. I really hope that we can do the process at NVC soon because my husband want me to be there before christmas.

Yes. When your papers are at the NVC already, the choice of agent will be generated. You can send the choice of agent through email or snail mail. Others did both, but to me I sent the Choice of agent through email and it was accepted after 5 days. Once the choice of agent is accepted, wail until NVC generates the Bills for your AOS and DS230, you'll receive an email/snail mail for the bills.. pay them at online fee collection of NVC website. ( you need your invoice number so you can pay online) The invoice number can be found in the email/snail mail notification that they will send to you.

Prepare all your forms for the IV packet. (I-864 forms, and all components e.g W2s, tax returns etc. ) so by the time your payment went through nvc, all you have to do is to submit the 2 last batch of docs (AOS and DS230) you have to submit to NVC. Then wait for your case completion... have your medical, wait for your interview sched.. Pronto!

But in the NOA2 hard copy the USCIS tells there that it takes 90 days before the NVC receive the case, is that true? why the post here it takes days or weeks only... hopefully they will give our case # soon like yours and other VJers.

Its just a standard that they use to save up their as$$es from never ending calls from us.

But try calling them on Monday evening USA time they might have uploaded your case in the AVR. NVC's site is under system maintenance right now, they are probably uploading new cases.

Update: Rick received an e-mail notice for our I-130s (yes, we submitted two separate I-130s, one for me and one for our daughter), and they were both approved. :)

The I-129F notice didn't get e-mailed to us until 2 days after. It is also approved and has the same approval date as our I-130s: 08-28-2009.

Luvtechwifey, how much time will it take for the NVC to complete your CR1 case, assuming they received all your documents and there are no further RFEs?

We have been looking at the immigration timelines here, and it says K3 takes about 68 days to complete from the time the NOA2 is received up to the consulate interview.

The CR1 on the other hand takes 160 days on the average from the NOA2 is received up to the consulate interview.

We're getting pretty anxious now...we are unsure how to proceed. We want to be reunited as soon as possible.

Be smart, have a plan, and hang on to the people you love. - Chris Gardner

Hi G&R.

If you are working with a lawyer, and they are doing their due diligence, they will inform you what to do next.

But if you want to do some of your own investigating, you can figure out if the USEM has received your case by going to the DHL website.

Do a search here on VJ...type NVC DHL and a post will come up...there they will give you an example of how to track your package.

From there, when you have an idea if the package was received or not, you can follow up with your lawyer.

Hi G&R and to everybody...

I called NVC last week and informed me that they already received our petition.

We have a lawyer too, as my husband is currently deployed. The lawyer told us

too, to wait for a letter first...

Now I'm getting confused..I've read some post that they can send the DS or the choice of agent.

Please advise....what's the best thing to do?

Am I just gonna let the lawyer do her thing?
