Hi people!

Its Maria again. I just received my I-130 approval and instructions for the Visa interview. I am very happy! :goofy:

I was very stressed because Tokyo never sent me a NOA for the I-130 receipt. Twenty two days later I am receiving a package with a letter saying the most spirit lifting word ... CONGRATULATIONS! But I suspect it was approved by 21 jun, because that's the priority date in the letter.

Now comes the questions...

With my case number, where can I check the process status?

My husband will be unable to find medical and vaccines records from Peru. What to do in this case?

When submitting the I-130 and all the docs they asked for, I stated Undecided at this time where it ask for an US address. It was true because we must have the visa before accepting a job and look for a place to move. Is it advisable to state a new address on US at the time of interview?

What fees must I expect to pay the day of interview?

Any advice will be very appreciated..

June 17 2006 Mailed I-130 and all documents Embassy asked for.

Maria, congratulations!

First, very important: DCF cases do NOT receive "NOA" receipts. You also do NOT check these cases online--your case is NOT in the USCIS system---by filing at the Consulate you are keeping your case "in house".

If your husband has no evidence of his medical history (mine did not--we filed in a 3rd country too) then he will go to the medical and answer the questions about where he was raised and how old he is, his travel and military service history. The doctor will determine what vaccines (if any) your husband needs. He will probably be given those shots at the medical and have to pay for them there.

When you get a US address, you can notify them at any time in the process when you interact, ex: at the visa interview, at the POE.

I'll defer on the fees--it should just be the visa application fee left, but you'll find out soon. :)
