My husband's I-765 came back rejected two weeks after we sent out the whole AOS packet. Reason given: outdated form. USCIS website even says "Previous Editions Accepted" for I-765. Someone in Chicago must have not had their coffee that day!

You would think they would not want to make more work for themselves by making people redo forms that were done correctly in the first place!

Anyway, folks.. just a reminder to double check all those dates!

Hey, I know how you feel. We submitted our daughters AOS packet 3 times and just found out today that time #4 was successful and accepted. I did nothing different on each one because everytime I talked to USCIS they said I was submitting correctly, we even did an infopass meeting with our local office and they said everything was correct as well. Find out why they rejected it, write an explanation letter, even print out the guidlines, try again & again and good luck. I almost lost faith in governmaent workers but they proved me wrong, getting it right on the 4th try(sarcasm by the way).

Yes, there's an expiration date somewhere on the form. Best way to cover yourself is to make sure you get the form directly from the USCIS website. Any other sites (including VJ), might not always have the most recent version.
