Umm, my fiancee is having her interview Sept. 2nd. She has already passed the medical, and she has all her DS forms and evidence ready.

From time to time i hear about "Packet 3". To my knowledge my girl has not received any "Packet 3", or "Packet 1 or 2" for that matter.

What are these packets, and are we missing something that is vital to the interview?

Thanks.

US Embassy will send a snail mail to your fiancee to call for an appointment for interview but since you already have your interview date i don't think you need to wait for that. as long as your fiancee is done with the medical and all the requirements for the interview and you are all set. Good luck in the interview. :)

That was before when USEM send "packet" to the beneficiary(list of requirements and instructions) but they stop that already since all the filers can download the forms and instructions online. You didn't miss anything, all she has to do now is wait and prepare for her interview. God bless.

Hey man, saw you PMd me too. I think the guy above me summed it up. From what I've gathered here, this used to be packet 3: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chro...p;q=visajourney

We already have out appts set so we're good. Packet 4 is the list of stuff they used to send out that people are now told to access online. I haven't done the interview yet, so I can't promise anything but Diana has the affidavit of support, all my financials, her Visa app forms, the BC, NBI, CENOMAR, and about 4 pounds of relationship proof so if she gets denied or postponed for some reason I am going to be floored. I think we'll be good. I'm praying we are anyway.

My girl will be lining up at 6 AM on the 2nd. Best of luck my man!!

Some Embassies use Packet 3, but the USEM used Packet IV only. Packet IV is what you downloaded from the USEM website.

Many of the embassies that use Packet 3 need this packet sent in before getting an interview date.

The "packet" from the American Embassy tells you exactly what are the things to be needed for the interview, including forms to be accomplished. You don't have to solicit answers from people here at VJ as you may get some misleading information from unreliable sources. Especially if that body piercer guy with a house on the lake and fancy cars and a 6 figure income responds to your inquiry.

Just follow what the letter says and you'll be in good hands.

Here is the exact wording from section 4.3 of the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide:

The USE Confirmation Letter is not Packet 3. THE USE ONLY ISSUES PACKET 4 WHICH IS NOW ONLY AVAILABLE ONLINE. Please review this instructional visa interview/USE layout
