hi guys, i have an oath ceremony tomorrow. just want to be sure, what am i going to take to the ceremony ?

just the letter and green card , right ?

Enjoy your oath ceremony Cookiee, it's the best part of the journey:) I only took the green card and letter (they did not ask for anything else). I did have my passport in my bag, just in case!

You just need your oath letter and your green card. If you have received any travel documents as some of the people there today did, bring those too as you would turn them in with the green card. Enjoy yourself - and congratulations!

Just to add another question since my hubby's oath is tomorrow...

Did anyone turn in their old EAD(s) at the oath? I told my husband to bring his just in case. The oath letter says to bring any "immigration documents" and I thought the EAD technically falls in that category.

08/27/09: Sworn in as a U.S. Citizen in Brooklyn Court House

08/29/09: Applied for U.S. Passport (routine service)

I would also bring EAD, AP (if ever obtained) and the expired conditional green card (if applies). They're all DHS-issued documents.

Thanks, that's what I figured, we have all the Green Cards and EADs ready to bring tomorrow. Can't believe the day is finally here!

not want to take my ex green card for 2 years or advance parole that i used for three years ago in 2006
