Just received the notice of approval for both the I-130 and k-3 visa simultniously

what is the best way to proceed?

My wife is still out side the state

it is a personal decision.... most people will however argue the I-130.CR1 path is better

The Cr-1 is the better visa, but keep in mind the K3 may go into AP at NVC like ours did. So now Im following the CR-1 at the NVC to just keep rolling, we are on a time limit, want to interview in France, but may have to interview in Algeria. If your not in a hurry follow the CR-1 the K3 will cost you lots more money when the beneficiary gets here.

What is your service Center and when did you file your I-130

I recommend the CR1 visa. We actually interviewed for both the K3 and the CR1 and we received the approval after the CR1 interview. We went into AP, which you should be prepared for as well. However, since it is your wife interviewing she may skip the AP which would be great for you guys.

The CR1 offers benefits such as saving time once she is here and saving money.

AP = Additional Processing, ranges from additional backgrounds checks to just about anything that may be in question.
