Hi:

My daughter attended High School in the US whilst on an F2 Visa (as a Dependant of my F1 Visa) during 1994-1997

She had been given a Social Security No, and the card was marked as Not valid for employment

She is now a Canadain citizen and her fiance is applying for her K 1 Visa

As she fills in her G 325 now -does she enter that old Social Security No or leave it as None whch will show as 000 00 0000

thanks

Your or her in this case SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER is yours for life and a New one will not be issued.

Put her Social Security Number on all forms. It would also be good to type out a letter explaining that she

recieved on while she was going to school here and the Date (about) when she got it.

NOTE when she and her new husband get her here ... marry ... She will have to have her husband Adjust her status

it is AOS as well as a AP (advance parol) for traveling outside the country incase she would need to go to Canada before the 2 years of temporary (conditional) green card was over. and a EAD for employement.

WHEN SHE GETS HER EAD CARD then she would take that Card and her Social Security Card to the SSN OFFICE

to get a new card and her NAME CHANGED. At that time they will check with DHS (department of Homeland Security)

and clear her Card of NO EMPLOYEMENT.

Congrate to her and you for Husband and SON-IN- Law

Rosie and David

single 15 years married 5 months ....now I know what peaks and valleys are in life. LOVE my wife hehehe

The number is good for life. What it says on it does not matter. NO social security card is valid for employment, even for a citizen. Citizens have to prove citizenship to work and a SS card is not acceptable for this. Use the number she has and she can get a new card without the notation after she gets her green card

FWIW citizens never show their SS card, we put it away in the sock drawer and only use the number. I lost my card in 1973 and never replaced it, so any notation on it is fairly worthless.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.
